Easy to park and turning radius outstanding. Pulls great behind RV, displays "0" miles while in tow. Has outstanding resale potential after 4 years. 4 cyl engine very responsive and quick. Power reduces as speed increases. Low power in overdrive. Front seats are adequate but could be a little larger.

  • Best Fuel Efficiency in an SUV - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

My wife and I are touring musicians and although we would have preferred to buy a hybrid to get better fuel efficiency, we needed an SUV that would fit all of our gear. However, this car totally amazed us! We average about 35,000 miles per year and have been getting up to 33mpg on the highway even though the EPA only lists it at around 26mpg. This car is extremely comfortable, safe, and reliable. My mother just recently bought a new CR-V based on my recommendation and experience with ours.

  • CRV- A Wise Choice - 2005 Honda CR-V

I looked at many SUVs that were about the same size and many that were larger than the CRV and this was by far the best. The SE model has many extras including leather interior, six disc CD, heated seats and mirrors, moonroof and plenty of passenger/cargo space as well as an excellent ride. The CRV is not meant to haul trailers but is an excellent family vehicle, that has the reliability of being a Honda, and the safeness of real time four wheel drive and a few other safety features. This SUV is not the most stylish, but overall the best that I have driven with excellent gas mileage!

Bought the CRV because it gives the flexibility of a minivan but allows you to maintain your dignity. My wife and I are constantly impressed with just how easy it is to drive this car and do errands, etc. Everything seems to be simple, in the right place, is at the right height and functions the way youd expect it. And its still fun to drive.

  • Seat Belts and Honda Saved My Family - 2005 Honda CR-V

My wife and kids got into an accident where my CR-V was declared "totaled." A 2003 MDX swerved in front my CR-V and was T-boned. My family walked away with some bruised shoulders and hips, but nothing more. The safety personnel at the crash site repeatedly stated that the Honda did was it was built to do (e.g., crumple zone, and the engine dropped). Thank you Honda for a superbly built automobile.

  • my noisey 2005 crv - 2005 Honda CR-V

this crv is a great vehicle but after owning 32 new cars,(eight Hondas) this is the noisest vehicle Ive ever driven!!! If I drove it before I purchased it I never would have bought it! Ive driven (three) 2003 crvs and (four) 2004 crvs and none have the terrible ROAD NOISE this one has!!! It sounds like the rear door is always ajar! Be advised that in the 2005 model Honda went to a 16 inch tire, possibly this is the problem. The dealer says drive it for a couple of thousand miles to see if the tires need to be broken in or possibly replaced. Ive only had it for 10 days but Im extremely dissapointed with the vehicle (only because of the road noise) so far.

Though there were no major changes to the 2005 the subtle alterations are great. The SE has a great pewter color, leather interior, 5 speed automatic transmission, smaller rear headrests and redesiged head and tail lights. Argualbly the nicest addition was the side curtain airbags. Thank you Honda, especially our dealership Scott Honda.

  • My First Honda - 2005 Honda CR-V

In May 2005 I had a vehicle that was about to fall apart. As a college student I needed a dependable vehicle that would hold its value. I was in a car accident five years earlier, so I wanted something safe. My husband and I shopped around and narrowed our search down to two vehicles of similar size and price. We test drove a Rav4 and thought it was the one. But then I read about Honda CRVs and felt they were safer. After a test drive I was sold! It had more space inside, comfortable seats, and ease in driving. So, we bought one. I took it to Virgina Beach this summer and had a great trip. We have had our CRV for five months and are very happy with our choice. We highly recommend it!

  • Disappointed honda lover - 2005 Honda CR-V

I travel in and out of state for work so I need something good on gas with awd. I owned my 99 accord 10 years with 230k and all she needed was regular maintenance. In the 3 years I have owned this truck I have replaced the oil pressure switch 3 times, catalytic converter clogged, a/c issues, rear calipers seized, interior lights in dash inoperable, lower ball joints and (the cherry on top) the piston rings went which means my motor needs to be replaced. And I still owe money on the loan. Honda is not what they use to be :(

  • Love my Honda ! ! ! - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

Yes, Im a woman, and yes, I LOVE my CAR!!! I only had regular mnt. done and no recalls. Heated seats werent necessary, but now they are. The only problem is the middle area (console). It is basically worthless. If you place anything in between the front seats, you have no cup holders or tray. Now, they dont offer ash trays for this model. I need to carry something for my friends. Otherwise, everyone I spoke with who own this model, love it. I would not sell it, but am now disabled and cannot ever drive I actually cry thinking of selling my Honda. It bothers me more than the disabilities. So, yeah, I love my Honda!
