Overview & Reviews
All models get redesigned headlamps and front fascias along with antilock brakes, stability control, side airbags for front passengers, head curtain airbags for front and rear occupants, strengthened B-pillars (for better side-impact crash protection) and minor interior styling refinements. A five-speed automatic transmission replaces last year's four-speed unit. The EX receives new alloy wheels, and all models now wear 16-inch wheels. A Special Edition trim debuts that includes heated leather seats, heated mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, as well as body-color bumpers, side molding, door handles and hard spare tire cover.
- Highly versatile and roomy interior, stable handling, comfortable ride, good crash test scores standard airbags, ABS and stability control.
- Limited off-road ability, not as big inside as some of its competitors, no V6 option.

Tall drivers beware ! - 2005 Honda CR-V
By rollodo - June 13 - 2:30 pmAfter about a week of driving the car my right leg began to ache where the thigh and hip come together and it eventually became excruciating. I am tall, about 6 3" and noticed that my thighs were not resting on the seat cushion like they do in every other car I have owned or driven. Instead, they are sticking slightly off of the seat so my leg weight is on the pedals and hip joint. The problem is the seat cushion is nearly flat and not distinctly sloped backward as in other cars - a very poor ergonomic design by Honda. I have to drive the car with a folded towel under my leg to support it.

Not the quality I expected - 2005 Honda CR-V
By patilo - June 4 - 2:46 pmAfter much review I opted for the CRV Special Edition. I had driven a Camry and loved the ride. My CRV still feels awkward. The road noise is horrible, reminds me of my 76 Pinto! I am looking for a replacement. The AWD is what lured me to the CRV.

Best CRV ever owned - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Daniel - May 31 - 5:07 pmThis is the best CRV I ever owned I used to own a 2002 CRV and I gave that car to my mother. The 2005 CRV that I own now drives and rides better than the 2002 CRV and also gets a little better gas mileage. The five speed auto transmission makes the CRV runs faster and improve gas mileage. I like everything about this CRV there too many to list.

2004 Honda CRV-EX - 2005 Honda CR-V
By J. Kobrzycki - May 31 - 7:33 amWe had a 2000 CRV-EX and the 2004-EX has many nicer features. Better power and pick-up. Much quieter. Side air bags and door beams. Passive anti-theft system. Better dash board/clock day time vision. Better mirror and door lock controls. More cargo space. Adjustable rear seats. Larger tires. Better rear door. (un-locks with other door locks) Tinted rear side and back windows. Much better stereo and 6-cd changer. The cost is about the same as the 2000 (with the anti-thieft system added) (which saves 15% on our car insurance). Better location of parking break. Larger and better located front seat tray. Larger Dash board storage. and even better cup holders !

Happy First Time Honda Owner - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Ed - May 31 - 1:30 amAs a first time Honda owner, I have been pleasantly surprised by my experience with the Honda CRV SE. It is a peppy car to drive and handles extremely well.I am pleased with the ability to maneuver in tight NYC traffic as well as the responsiveness in fast moving parkways and turnpikes. I also like the styling.

Must Own - 2005 Honda CR-V
By 3rdCRVowner - May 30 - 7:13 amI started with a 1999 CRV bought the 2nd in 2002 and now my 3rd in 2005. I travel and depend on this vehicle to get me safetly to and from my travel area. Keep the oil changed, rotate the tires, and check the brakes is all it takes to keep these vehicles in top condition! I am a Honda owner for life!

Bumpy ride - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Rev Dave - May 15 - 9:23 pmI bought the Honda based on its reputation. I was shocked to find, after riding it for a few days, how I feel every crack in the pavement, and I experience a very bumpy jarring ride. Why hasnt Honda paid attention to good shock absorbers and springs?? Is there anything I can do to get a smoother ride????? Better shocks??? Please advise. Other than the ride, I am pleased with the car. Also, if I go on a trip and travel at 60-70 mph I only get 23 mpg. Why???? My girlfriend bought the same car, but returned it to the dealer the next day because of the poor quality of the ride hurting her back.
