  • Love My 2005 CR-V - 2005 Honda CR-V

I bought this car over 6 years ago and has 100K+ miles on it. Buying it was the best decision I ever made. Its been rock solid with very few issues. No major breakdowns of any sort. Ive made several trips up and down the east coast with it and hope to make several more. Its comfortable, quiet, has ample space for everything I need. The gas mileage isnt the greatest but nowhere near bad. I love this car and shutter to think of the day it will give up the ghost. I dont think that will happen any time soon.

Bougth this car 6.5 years ago and now have 170,000 trouble free miles. Daughter has been driving this car for awhile and with this much mileage, i still have confidence in it to go cross country and back. Not all is good in the beginning since the dealer charged me over $1000 for some kind of paint sealant, its crap it takes along time to buff it to shine. My 9 years old Odyssey didnt have it and with over 210,000 miles still looks good. The recommended tire pressure inflation is way too low for the weight of the vehicle at 29 PSI. With 29 PSI the mileage is at 20 city and 23 Hwy and obvious underinflation tire wear. Finally got dialed in at 36 PSI all around to get the 23/26.

Never had a mechanical breakdown on this car built by Honda. Only parts I changed was 2 headlight bulbs and front brake pads after 6 years of owning it. This is by far the best purchased I ever made.

  • I love my CR-V so far! - 2005 Honda CR-V

I bought my CR-V just 5 months ago, so I will not address longevity. It had 22,000 miles, now it has 28,000. I have experienced no mechanical problems. I now drive on average 70 miles a day, and the drivers seat is fine for a long drive. I have a 75lb dog who can sit, stand, walk, lay down, look out the window, and stretch in the back with the seats folded up. All of that space and I still get 25-27 mpg with only a third of my driving being on the highway. Ive had no complaints from passengers in a full car on comfort. The value of this vehicle is unbelievable, I wish I had bought it as my first car rather than my second, I love it!

  • 5 yr old CR-V with no issues - 2005 Honda CR-V

Ive had my CR-V since new in 2005. Just went over 87,000 miles. Bought one set of tires and change the oil every 8000 miles. Still runs great. I dont know the problems that others are having, but you can always get one bad vehicle out of thousands made. Dont judge this car by a few bad ones.

I thoroughly enjoy this vehicle. I like the power.road handling and feel. the drawbacks are the design of the key fob- which has a button for the back hatch closely resembling the door lock. It also has sparse power controls - the seats are manual not power, and the passenger dash is unusable - poor design. The underseat storage is minimal. This seems to be a fault across the board with Honda products. Tuning the finer points would make a great vehicle into an exceptional one. Overall I am pleased with the performance of this one.

  • 100k and No problems! - 2005 Honda CR-V

Ive had my CRV for over 4 years now, over 100k miles, no problems except for changing the oil, the tires, the brakes and the rear differential fluid, and I drive aggressively. The CRV is fun to drive, looks attractive even though not new, and I dont feel as if Im being "overconsumptive" even though Im driving a SUV.

I purchased my CR-V in 2005 after trading in a 98 Subaru Forester that was starting to give me some headaches. Immediately, I realized I was in a much better, high-end vehicle. I have not had any problems at all with it. Just replaced the battery earlier this year, and Im looking for my 3rd set of tires (current set of Tiger Paws are lousy in snow). I will need rear rotors & pads soon, but thats it so far! The gas mileage is fantastic, theres plenty of room for 3 adults in the backseat, tons of cargo room, the exterior looks great - no paint chipping or fade like my old Subaru. Looked at a new 10 Forester just for fun & the interior looks cheap. My CR-V is a Lexus in comparison.

  • A lot of car for the money - 2005 Honda CR-V

I went from a 98 Windstar to this. I have to admit, I miss the smooth ride of my van versus this more "truck-like" ride. Acceleration is SO much better than that old V6, though, and I have feeling its going to be that way for a long time.

We (wife & I, no kids) purchased this due to our frequent outdoors trips. Shortly after purchasing, we drove in a blizzard and on icy roads for 2.5 weeks. The AWD worked great during the storms and icy conditions. After the blizzards, we loaded a small (4x8) trailer on the back with our belongings and drove 1,300 miles along the western coast, then through the deserts into CO. We drove though the Rockies and in snow often, eventually driving another 1,200 miles with another 4x8 trailer to the south eastern US. Weve spend a LOT of hours in this vehicle and used it to drag a trailer across the entire US. OR to CO to AL. Love the vehicle, no complaints at all.
