This Year's Model Updates:

A sporty new XRS model debuts boasting a 170-horsepower engine and a sport-tuned suspension. Additionally, all Corollas receive a restyled front fascia and rear taillights. The LE model now has Lexus-like Optitron instrumentation, along with a cloth-trimmed center console and sun visors. Side curtain airbags, stability control and a JBL audio system are all new options.

Pros:
  • Refined and roomy interior, excellent gas mileage and crash test scores, long list of safety features, spunky XRS model, illustrious reliability record.
Cons:
  • Awkward driver-seat position, bland personality, gets pricey when even basic features are desired, sedan body style only.

I love this vehichle. It is sharp looking, handles well, has great rear leg room, excellent interior, very comfortable seats. I have gotten over 40 miles per gallon on the highway. I recommend this car to anyone.

I bought this car for fuel economy being I drive 160 miles per day. The 5-speed with cruise delivers 42mpg at highway speeds. The comfort is unbelievable for long trips and this car is really fun to drive. Although many consider this to be a small car, I find it extremely comfortable to sit in, and Im 63 and weigh 220. There is plenty of head room too. I just wish I had a sunroof.

  • Nothing Better for the Money - 2005 Toyota Corolla

This car is a masterpiece. For the price, youll find nothing better. A perfect overall commuter. A perfect show car if you want to put the money into it. Ride and handling is superb. Plain models are quite ordinary but the S class model changes the entire car completely! It turnes it into an affordable sportscar. And now that cars are all growing within their class, this car is not as small as it once was in the 90s. Upgrading this car is a breeze if your into that. Only recommendation is that anti lock brakes be standard or at least standard for S class models minimum. Other than that, it stays true to its reliability record.

  • my xrs - 2005 Toyota Corolla

This is my 3rd Toyota Corolla. I had the 2003 s series before I got my 2005 XRS. When I first drove my car off the lot and hit the freeway it made me scream. The power and speed were amazing. I love the race car bucket seats and the chrome trimming. However, the beep beep noise that the car makes when it is in reverse or when you dont put your seatbelt on fast enough are a pain in the "you know where." Overall the driving experience has been a pleasurable one.

Just bought my new 05 corolla LE. I absolutely love it. I have owned several Toyotas in the past and know how reliable they are. The wood grain interior gives the car a classy feel and I love being able to raise the height of the seat as well as the distance to and from the steering wheel. You really sit high in this car. Its the best looking car on the road right now. They have added anti-theft, tire gage, and other goodies to give this car a luxury feel. The doors feel thick and safe.

  • What a Value! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
    By -

Yesterday I just bought a 05 LE Corolla for my girlfriend. Her 01 Corolla was totalled but she loved that one so much that she wanted a new one. The value of this car is outstanding. I paid about 8K more for an equally comparable VW Jetta, wish Id bought the Corolla instead and saved myself the aggrevation of buying a lemon for 8K more! The corolla had many options, but the standard for LE wood grain interior definately adds a little more class to the corolla. You cant beat that gas milege either. My only negative comment is that I thought the engine was a little loud a high revs. (could be the german car Im used to is quieter).

  • Nice Ride, Great Value - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I bought my 2005 S last week. Though Ive only had it one week I am in love with the car. I only have a few complaints which I will post below. I also looked at the honda civic, the nissan sentra spec and the mazda 3 neither car was 1/2 as nice as the corolla S and each cost more. Overall this car is great for what you pay and the sleekness of my car gets so many stares.

  • Reliable gem. - 2005 Toyota Corolla

The car is 2005 and I have never had one major repair needed in all the years I have owned it. This is my 3rd Toyota Corolla, and if I buy another car, it will the same make and model. Most reliable car on the road in my opinion.

  • VROOOOMMMMM!!!! - 2005 Toyota Corolla

I was smiling as I passed a Bemer heading up a steep incline this morning! Overall, a great car!!! However, with the 170 hp engine, the gas mileage suffers as compared to the other Corolla models-Im averaging about 30 mpg which is primarily 90% highway (ok, averaging 80 mph-its hard to keep this baby down!) You should also be aware that the engine requires a high octane gas and comes equipped with summer tires as its considered a performance vehicle. Finding replacement winter tires/wheels for 195/55/16 size ran me another $917 (finally found them on the internet.) OUCH! Now that Ive swallowed these surprises, Im back to smiling every time I turn over the engine. VROOOOMMM!!!

Best car Ive ever had and that includes Caddies, Fords of all kinds,Olds and Buick. The only one even close was a 1970s Plymouth Valiant.
