Overview & Reviews
All models get redesigned headlamps and front fascias along with antilock brakes, stability control, side airbags for front passengers, head curtain airbags for front and rear occupants, strengthened B-pillars (for better side-impact crash protection) and minor interior styling refinements. A five-speed automatic transmission replaces last year's four-speed unit. The EX receives new alloy wheels, and all models now wear 16-inch wheels. A Special Edition trim debuts that includes heated leather seats, heated mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, as well as body-color bumpers, side molding, door handles and hard spare tire cover.
- Highly versatile and roomy interior, stable handling, comfortable ride, good crash test scores standard airbags, ABS and stability control.
- Limited off-road ability, not as big inside as some of its competitors, no V6 option.

very good car and value - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Coco - June 20 - 5:40 pmI liked this SUV a lot. The cons I found are: 1) there is no much space in the front seats (for a 5 11" person) my knees hit the steering wheel and I cant move it to avoid that and 2) it has too many blind spots when looking back or through the mirrors, we had to remove the headrests from the back to see better. The rest is very good. It does not burn a lot of gas, it is reasonable fast in highway, it is well equiped and it is reliable. In new england the 4wd help even when such a narrow tires.

Switched from a RAV to a CRV - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Toto - June 10 - 3:10 amI am happily surprised with all the standard equipment that comes with the SE. It does not compare to the RAV 4 in this regard. I also find the CRV to have much better pick up than the Toyota. I am glad I made the switch

Nice SUV - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Barry - May 27 - 8:56 pmI really love this SUV. Have had a few non-Honda like issues with this car. I had to have the strut lubed and now the rotors are warped big time. Another trip to the dealer. I guess I just expected more from Honda. But again, after coming from an Olds Alero, anything would be more reliable.

Excellent automobile - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Cheryl - April 29 - 6:53 amThis is definitely one of the best automobiles Ive ever owned. The smooth ride and roominess is such a pleasure for a small suv. Excellent gas mileage. You can even feel how solidly made it is just by shutting the door.

Functional, good looks, and cheap! - 2005 Honda CR-V
By JohnD - April 9 - 8:50 pmLast week I found yet another storage bin in the CRV that I wasnt aware of. So much room for storage, comfortable seats (especially back seats) and surprisingly large rear storage. I traded in a troublesome 2002 VW for the Honda and it has lived up to the hype. Fun to drive, side-air bags standard, and good gas milage make this a no-brainer. Did I mention how affordable it is?

Great Small SUV - 2005 Honda CR-V
By DW - April 2 - 3:36 amI have been impressed with its comfort and performance. I test drove the CR-V when it came and was very disappointed, and this from a multiple Honda owner. The current CRV fixed all the flaws of the original. As with all the Hondas I have owned, it is comfortable and nicely designed. Also, with a small child it is good to have a lot of places to hold kid stuff. Time will tell if it is as reliable as other Hondas I have owned.

Finally found the "one" - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Cheryl - March 31 - 6:10 amI must say this has been a long search for the automobile of my dreams. I am sure other more expensive models would be great. But being a single Mom of two, I needed an automobile with the perfect features. Roominess for my growing kids as well as reliability. This being our only vehicle, I needed to have safety and gas economy also important features.

very nice & reliable - 2005 Honda CR-V
By shah - March 10 - 12:49 pmWe have driven from Ga to Tn and back. Then we moved from Ga to Tx and now we live in Ms. So we have driven a lot of highway miles and have no complaints at all. It is very fun to drive and there is plenty of room.

Couldnt be more pleased! - 2005 Honda CR-V
By LarryJoe - February 20 - 6:43 amThis is typical Honda at a great price! The ride and steering are tight- -just what one would expect with a Honda. It drives as good as my Accord. The cabin room is very accommodating considering this is tagged as a "mini- SUV". The 5-speed transmission shifts very smoothly and although this is just a 4-cyl 160hp engine, it has more than enough pep. The ability to adjust the rear seats fore and aft is a nice touch. The main factor in considering this vehicle was addition of the SE trim level(has leather seats)--I wouldnt have considered the CR-V, otherwise, and would have purchased a V- 6 EX Accord.
