Pros:
  • Highly versatile and roomy interior, stable handling, comfortable ride, good crash test scores standard airbags, ABS and stability control.
Cons:
  • Limited off-road ability, not as big inside as some of its competitors, no V6 option.

  • VERY VERY NICE TRUCK - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

This truck is not was i expected. I assumed the 160hp engine would be slow and not enough for my lead foot. But i was wrong this car is fast enough. I think maybee the gas tank could be bigger, less frequent pit stops. But ALL in ALL CAR Is great and no regrets so far Yes i know the shifter is a bit strange but you get used to it.

  • Why would anyone need more? - 2005 Honda CR-V

Ive driven a number of cars in the past, but this CR-V SE is one of the top. Good mileage, great ride, very comfortable and easy to get around in. Dont believe the info about "too much engine noise" - its surprisingly quiet and has some features you used to find only on BMW or Mercedes. I will never go back to $50k autos.

  • Love My CR-V - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

Ive been driving big cars for somewhile and made the switch because offuture gas prices. The CR-V is really fun to drive and Im 63". There is a solid feel to this car that I have not seen for a long time. There is plenty of power and the handling is very nice. I got 28.5 mpg on a trip last week. The room in this SUV is amazing. My CR-V was built in Japan which explains the high quality of this car. I may buy another one for my wife. Remember $3.00 gas by mid summer.

  • OK, Very Pleasantly Surprised... - 2005 Honda CR-V

I purchased this vehicle a little over a week ago. I have been very pleased with the overall performance for a small SUV. I shopped around and test drove similar SUVs in the 20K - 30K price range before I decided on the CR- V SE. This vehicle, for the money, has got my vote. All the "bells and whistles" you need in a small (midsize?) SUV. There is plenty of interior room to fit 4 adults very comfortably. If you are in the market for a small SUV, give the CR-V a try.

  • Hondas Rule! - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

I traded in my 2000 S40 Volvo because we needed a larger fuel efficient vehicle. I researched Honda, Ford, Toyota, and Volvo. Honda came up the winner for economy and quality. I laugh when people tell me nice truck because it drives, rides, and feels like a car. We love it I wish that I would have bought a CR-V in 2000 when we purchased the Volvo. The four cylinder engine feels like a V-6, very peppy and fun to drive. I know it is not considered a luxury SUV however I consider it my luxury SUV. The heated seats, steering wheel controls, moon roof, and leather seats make it a wonderful vehicle to commute in. Very well done Honda continue the great work!

  • My Third CR-V - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

I and my family love this CR-V as it fits the 3 of us just right. Its a good looking car and is easy to keep clean. We love the 6 disc cd changer in dash and love the height of the vehicle as we can slide right into it. The only drawback is the road noise while driving. It has great pick-up after 40 mph even though it is a 4-cylinder.

  • Honda CRV:better than expected - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

I was very skeptical when we bough this vehicle, it was need more that desire. It has turned out to be a great vehicle, lots of room, easy to drive, comfortable front and back. the only ackward thing is the gear shift:it interferes all the time with the windshield wipers

  • BEST compact SUV on the market - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

I bought the 2005 CRV after having driven my 2000 Accord for 120,000 miles. I wanted a compact SUV to better handle the harsh Boston winters, but fuel economy was a major concern with gas prices climbing recently. The CRV is rated at 22/27, and after 1,000 miles, Ive been averaging 26.5 in mixed driving. The build quality is superb (it is a Honda, after all), the handling is top notch, and the passenger and cargo areas are generous. The CRV competes with the Toyota RAV-4, and there is no comparison. After test driving the RAV-4, I found it to be cramped with sloppy handling. In my opinion, the CRV is the best compact SUV available, which would explain why you see so many of them!

  • very nice car - 2005 Honda CR-V

For what it is I think this is a great car. You sit up high enough that you are not being run over but not in one of these huge gas guzzlers. The motor is not very powerful which is one of the reasons for getting the manual tranny. You can set the cruise for 80mph and it will go all day. Good inventment

  • Great All Around SUV - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

The engine is adequate and very reliable. The styling beats the new CRVs hands down. The seats could be more comfortable and the driver seat needs more movement backwards for long legs. I love getting around parking lots and the narrow body allows plenty of room for the doors opening in parking spaces. This SUV has plenty of cargo space and lots of storage nooks inside. I wanted a red CRV with black interior but this is not offered.
