Overview & Reviews
Want air conditioning, power windows/locks/mirrors and variable intermittent wipers on the CE? Buy the Value Package. To get remote keyless entry or a power driver seat on the LE, you must buy a Value Package. A power moonroof and an in-dash six-disc CD changer require the Leather Value Package on XLE models. LE V6 models get daytime running lights standard, while JBL audio is optional on all LEs. The anti-theft system with engine immobilizer is restricted to XLE V6 models.
- Toyota reliability, incredibly powerful and refined optional V6, excellent resale value.
- High prices, uncomfortable seats, forgettable styling.

Great Car - 2001 Toyota Camry
By Tom4563289161 - December 9 - 2:00 amThis is a great car. Had it for two years now and have about 30k on it. Still as good as when i bought it. Im a big guy so the roominess is great. Smooth ride, great stereo, nice design. We have both an 01 LE 4cyl and a XLE 6 cyl and i think the LE is leagues above the xle. The engine could use a little more low end pickup though. Great car to drive and doesnt need any repairs. I highly suggest this car.

By fingersray - November 20 - 10:00 amI do a great deal of driving in town, and the fuel economy is fantastic. This vehicle does every thing right, smooth, quiet, very reliable and the perfect size.

It is the dependable car. - 2001 Toyota Camry
By anme - November 14 - 10:00 amI have it for almost a year without any problem. Driving is quite. However, the engine is kind of weak(136 hp) for 4c. So far I satisfy with it.

Great Car - 2001 Toyota Camry
By jenny541 - September 17 - 10:06 pmMy husband bought this car for me in 2001. It had been leased for 6 months and only had 1400 miles on it! I LOVE this car! It drives smoothly, is comfortable (never had seat problems), and it is safe! I am looking to trade it in for a Matrix, most likely, but I still love this car, just wish it had more cargo space.

Great Car - 2001 Toyota Camry
By toyotasrock - August 20 - 2:06 pmHad a 2001 for one year, was a company car. Came in emerald green with wood and spoiler. Very comfortable, has a large trunk, quiet at highway speeds and looks great inside and out. Got a 2003 Camry in 2002, which I like less than the old car.

Appraisal Value for Trade Purpose - 2001 Toyota Camry
By Benito C. Lim - August 6 - 10:00 amWe find it very reliable to reach our destination. It is fun to drive and listen to its CD, radio gadgets. All seats comfortable and we feel proud to own and use for our family.

2001 CAMRY LE - 2001 Toyota Camry
By DOUG N - June 30 - 10:00 amVery good vehicle. Only problem was front end struts which wore out quickly, the same as my 1998 Camry which I traded in.

Good Shopping Car - 2001 Toyota Camry
By shfields - May 24 - 2:00 amJust purchased a used 2001 Camry. So far i love it. I traded a mercury sable wagon in for it. Was a bit upset on lossing all my room from the wagon but this car more than makes up for it. So far plenty of room to go shopping and haul the kids and there stuff around in it. Will check back in a year or so and see.

Great Car - 2001 Toyota Camry
By Ethan - March 18 - 7:17 amMy grandparents bought this car new in 2001. It is a "Collector Edition" model with two tone paint and I guess a lot of other extras like auto climate control and the classy "wood effect" trim (plastic). The car was given to me from another family member a little over a year ago with 230k miles on it needing brakes and with an exhaust leak. Less than $1,500 later, the car has been perfect. The 8 speaker stereo with 6 CD changer works great, and the a/c is perfect. It now has almost 238k miles and runs better than my Mitsubishi with 150k miles. The V6 has plenty of power even with the a/c running. Its a grandpa car, but Im hanging onto this as long as I can. The dash has no cracks, and the leather seats are still barely broken in. Ive taken it on several 500+ mile road trips and it handles perfect doing 80-90 mph even with the high miles.

Very Fast, Corner Carver - 2001 Toyota Camry
By Jeff from Pittsburgh - January 19 - 10:43 pmThis car is awsome, you can do 0-60 in 7.8 seconds, also this thing will go around corners like nothing. After about 3 hours the seats get uncomfortable, and the rear seat cup holder broke, but was fixed by the dealer under warranty. This car only has 42000 miles on it in 2006, and still looks and runs like new.
