For 2004, all Imprezas sport revised front and rear fascias -- gone are the oddball circular headlamps in favor of a more mainstream wedge-shaped design. In addition, all models get upgraded suspension struts (to improve ride quality and steering response), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, a collapsible pedal system, revised gauges and a new stereo faceplate. The WRX and Outback Sport receive projector beam foglights. Inside, WRX models have new sport seats, a central tachometer and darker gray faux metal accents. The TS wagon, Outback Sport and RS sedan add an in-glass antenna, active front head restraints, central power door lock switch and multireflector halogen headlights. Further, the TS now has four-wheel disc brakes. The RS sedan's keyless entry system now has an audible confirmation feature, and keyless entry is now standard on the TS. Finally, the WRX sedan is now available with a Premium Package that includes a sunroof, trunk spoiler, heated mirrors, heated front seats and a wiper de-icer.

By Vader - December 1 - 10:00 amWell, all I gotta say is that this car is a performance machine, looking to kick some 8 cly rear-ends. Its a beautiful machine which has no pity going fast. It still surprises me how powerful it is, even after a month of owning one. :)

By the physicist - October 24 - 11:26 am6 yrs old, 147000 miles, 27 mpg with premium gas, brakes replaced at 90000 and 100000 miles! What have been replaced: a small rubber hose, 1 supporting leg of the transmission, oxygen apparatus for total $1500 last yr..Otherwise, the car handles like new.. I could drive any car under $150000, and I did selected the best one..

WRX as good as my M3 - 2004 Subaru Impreza
By salligator - September 1 - 10:00 amTo me a Subaru makes a great winter snow car. This time I bought a WRX, since my summer car is a BMW M3 convertible. Except at very low RPMs, the WRX might as well have an M3 on it. The handling on a very narrow twisty road is as good as the M3, and the accelleration as long as you stay above 3000 RPM is also about the same. But the WRX has more features, it does not transmit potholes to your back, it goes in snow, and it has all weather performance tires that do not require replacement every 13000 miles.

Excellent! - 2004 Subaru Impreza
By trrbocharged - September 1 - 10:00 amI decided that I needed to get another car to compliment my modified 944 Turbo, and I really wanted to find something "affordable" with comparable performance. The STi definitely fits the bill. I have logged about 1600 miles on it so far, it its running great. I didnt care much for all of the external decals and the chrome lettering on the trunk, so I removed everything except the little STi logo on the front grill. I think the body looks great, and I actually think the tail size is just fine. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend the car to anyone.

By Greg_STi - September 1 - 10:00 amI love this car. Last week I had an 2003 Acura NSX race me, he could not belive why he was behind me. lol Everyone that looks at dosent belive how fast it is untill I take them for a ride, afterword they are just blown away. Its about time the STi came here!

By crashsti - July 20 - 10:00 ami bought this car as soon as i heard about it. the best part was i had never really done any driving in a car with a manual transmission. once i got the hang of the clutch and the short throw shifter it has been nothing but sheer pleasure to drive. although some might say that the STi offers a harsh ride i feel firmly connected to the road. seriously the best car i could have bought for my dollar and performance oriented preferences.

By John. - July 20 - 10:00 amSo far this has been the most fun and exciting vehicle I have ever driven. The power has yet to let me down and feeling of control over the vehicle is second to none! I read a review and it said you drive this car not vise versa and that sums this machine up. The car is equipped w/ power options and A/C also the optional auto-dimming/Compass rear view mirror adds some class along w/ the outside temp. There is no denying this car was meant for the performance minded driver, but the subtle touches make it an awesome all around daily driver.

The moment you put this car in second gear you will find yourself gasping for air. 2 wheels pulling and 2 wheels pushing your car while you travel 0-60 in 4.5 seconds!!! You will find yourself pulling away from Z06s and 350Zs with ease. But this car not only picks up and goes! I knows how to turn with speed as well! Throw your differential all the way back and find yourself drifting in an S curve @ 95+ MPH. This car is for SERIOUS drivers only. Get 911 performance with a 1/4th the price.

Only one on the road - 2004 Subaru Impreza
By el_picardo - June 7 - 10:00 amCould only afford the RS, but I love it. In bad roads and even worse weather its the best. It is a bit hard to drive slowly though, it just wants to run.Im a newbie to manual transmission, but this is an easy car to drive. Ive only had it for 2.5 months, but any car I dont have to take in for warranty during the first week, is good in my book.
