This Year's Model Updates:

The new model year brings freshened exterior styling to the C-Class. A new dash, redesigned seats and tweaked trim pieces help to polish the interior up a bit, as well. A new audio system with six speakers and a CD player is standard across the board. Further updates include an improved short-throw six-speed manual transmission and revised suspension tuning. A DVD-based navigation system is newly available, while the C320 wagon has been discontinued. The complimentary scheduled maintenance program has been dropped for 2005.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from top V6 engine.
Cons:
  • More expensive than competitors, ordinary cabin furnishings, small backseat.

  • Great Road Trip Car - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

We were looking for a midsize wagon, the C-Class was the right size for our needs, the 05 changes to both interior (big improvement to the tach and speedo layout),and exterior (wheels and body work) make this one of the best looking wagons on the market. The ride is comfortable, but firm enough for good handling and control at speed through turns.

  • AWESOME - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

This car has far exceeded my expectations for a lower end Merc. Its absolutely wonderful to drive. Deliberate at slow speeds, aggressive with optimized shift points, growl, with more torque than a BMW 330i which I was going to buy. Much better looking ride and a dealer who deals. Middle aged men and women stare at car commenting daily. Safety is unreal.

My first Mercedes, and definately not the last. Great overall vehicle, plenty of power and luxury.

  • A Great "Baby Benz" - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

It has the crisp, tight, precise driving that one can only enjoy from a Mercedes Benz. I have owned many bigger and more powerful Mercedes, yet the C230 Kompressor is an absolute pleasure to drive. Its quick, responsive, and still gives the driver the confidence of a well built, secure vehicle.

Very smooth ride for a smallish car. Quick acceleration and excellent handling. I love the styling

  • 4 door Porsche - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I bought it as a birthday present for my wife knowing I would do some of the driving myself. She loves the looks and ride and I love the hotrod aspect. My partner has a 2003 BMW M3 and Ive driven it quit a few times. The C55 is just a quick and best of all it delivers the power much more smoothly. I highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a four door Porsche.

  • Awesome Car - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Great car. Best 4 cyl ever made. You would never know its a 4 cyl. Even on the hwy at 90 mph, there is little engine noise. Exterior, the car turns heads. Stereo sounds great. Get the upgrade to the 300+ watt. Its worth it. 10 speakers makes all the difference.

  • Best car Ive owned - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Regardless of what the Edmunds report finds, this car was hands down more luxurious, roomier and better designed than the Audi A4 and the Infiniti G35. The body is distinctive and the ride tighter and still fun. A great car.

  • Granite Gray 230K - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Truly a phenomenal vehicle. The dealer really tried to sell me on the automatic 230K on the lot, so glad I got the 6 speed manual. Not only is the manual smooth, you are able to use that supercharged 4 cyl. to its fullest potential. The rear quarters are a little cramped, however I bought this car to drive not to ride in. My son has enough room for his car seat and other misc. items in the rear and myself and the wife are quite comfortable up front. I traded in my 03 Navigator so I knew going in I was losing space, but definitely saving at the pump. Overall I highly recommend this car!

  • GREAT RIDE/EXPENSIVE FIX - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

I LOVE THIS CAR. I HAVE HAD IT NOW FOR 4 MONTHS AND STILL LOVE DRIVING IT. I GOT MINE WITH EVERY OPTION AVAILABLE AND AM GLAD I DID. THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM SETS OFF THE ALUMINUM IN THE INTERIOR JUST RIGHT. THE INTEGRATED PHONE IS GREAT ON ROAD TRIPS, OR JUST WHEN YOU NEED TO PAY ATTENTION. THE BI-XENON LIGHTS WERE WELL WORTH THE MONEY. 10 OUT OF 10
