Overview & Reviews
The new model year brings freshened exterior styling to the C-Class. A new dash, redesigned seats and tweaked trim pieces help to polish the interior up a bit, as well. A new audio system with six speakers and a CD player is standard across the board. Further updates include an improved short-throw six-speed manual transmission and revised suspension tuning. A DVD-based navigation system is newly available, while the C320 wagon has been discontinued. The complimentary scheduled maintenance program has been dropped for 2005.

Great Car - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By D. Fuhrmann - December 22 - 7:16 pmGreat car to drive, especially with the 4 wheel drive. Very comfortable. Could use more horsepower.Compared with the Cadillac Seville STS I drove befroe this car, the C 320 is heaven to drive. Only two problems right off the factory floor: License plate light did not work, and airconditioner leaked coolant. Both were repaired after (unfortunately)several visits to the dealer. No problems since.

Great car buy. - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By RobsMBZ - October 29 - 10:00 amIm only 2 months into owning my C230, but already it feels like a keeper. What I like mostly is that it is quite heavy and solid for its size. No rattles. Stock wheels are beautiful. Suspension is firm but not jarring, considering the 45 profile tires. Engine has lots of power, yet Im getting 26mpg in town. Panorama roof is great. Choose your color carefully because the image of the care changes.

Disappointed - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By disappointed - October 18 - 1:10 pmI had always wanted a Mercedes, (who doesnt) The first six months were great, then things started to go wrong. The lighter never worked ( Im not a smoker so it took a while for me to notice) Ive needed a new catalytic converter, starter, spark plugs, vacuum hose, plus it makes a squeaky noise sometimes, not too loud but annoying just the same. Its a new car. I should not be on a first name basis with the people in the service department, though they do wash my car after every visit

Not a Single Problem in Over a Year! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By tweeze - October 3 - 11:30 pmI have had my C320 Sport Coupe for 14 months now and have never had any problems. The only time it has gone to the dealer is for its first oil change at 1 year - that I find amazing in itself! Service is only required every 13,000 miles or 12 months. Very fun to drive, very good road-holding. Dealership has treated me like a king. I was a little apprehensive to buy a Benz because of Consumer Reports giving them a bad rating. My personal experience, though, has been this is the first new car I have ever owned that has never had to go to the dealer for any adjustments or fixes. Talk about a carefree ownership experience!

Love it , But...... - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By dakarra - September 30 - 2:36 pmI am very impressed by the performance and gas mileage. The 4matic is AWESOME on snowy roads. Interior is quiet, but shoulder room is a little close, and Im not a very big guy. Center dash controls are a little complicated, but the steering wheel controls work well and are very convenient and add an element of safety. This is my third M- B, and the overall quality seems consistant with previous models, but certain areas have gone down. The stereo/system display looks cheap and borrowed from a Chrylser "sister". Ive had more mechanical issues with this one than previous models as well. There is a pesky leak of some kind that the dealer has trouble finding. Overall the car is not readily distinguishable from the growing competition, and the premium sticker is getting harder to justify.

Great fun little toy, enjoy - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By GI Tiger - September 27 - 5:30 amIt was a bumpy ride at first. I bought a dealer/loaner C230k from the dealership. That said, Ive only had one problem with it, a blown oil line which leaked all over my garage. The maintenance is kind of costly, but it is the best auto Ive ever driven. Ive driven a lot cars around the world (Military). If you want a fun car this is it. Fast on the draw and will suprise you how quick it is. Sometimes it does sputters when moving at slow speeds on the highwqy trying to dodge in and out of traffic.

By Armando - September 13 - 12:20 amIm very happy with the C230. The dealer was outstanding. The product was better than what I expected. My wife and I share the vehicle. Its like that commercial whoever is getting to the vehicle first, drives it.

I hate this car - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By libby - August 27 - 7:03 pmThe Mercedes-Benz C230 Sport Sedan is a poor excuse for a Mercedes-Benz that should never have been marketed. The car is junk. The only thing that they accomplished is that I will never purchase another Mercedes product. I hate this car.
