Overview & Reviews
The new model year brings freshened exterior styling to the C-Class. A new dash, redesigned seats and tweaked trim pieces help to polish the interior up a bit, as well. A new audio system with six speakers and a CD player is standard across the board. Further updates include an improved short-throw six-speed manual transmission and revised suspension tuning. A DVD-based navigation system is newly available, while the C320 wagon has been discontinued. The complimentary scheduled maintenance program has been dropped for 2005.
- State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from top V6 engine.

Perfect Blend of Performance and Luxury - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By Robert Gross - January 6 - 2:50 amA relative bought a C32 three years ago and Ive been lusting after a similar car since. Drove the GTO - performance but not enough luxury. Drove the Acura RL - luxury but not enough performance. The C55 is a perfect blend. Needed a sedan to fit the grandkids. Needed an automatic to satisfy the wife. Did I compromise? Not in my book. I have a huge grin on my face every time I get in the C55 and fire up that big v8!

Fountain of Youth Found! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By Janus - December 28 - 10:00 amThe Kompressor model will shave 10 years off your age the moment you hit the gas pedal. Warning: If you test drive it - youll buy it! This sporty model is not your grandmas car. Quick out of the gate and responsive to corners. If you like getting horizontal through turns -this car is not for you. The ride is oh so smooth-no gritty feel of the road as with the BMW. This is a well thought out car in terms of storage. Ample glove compartment even with a 6 CD changer and a large truck with 2 built in side pockets. The hands free Harmon Kardon stereo system and built-in phone are accessable without thought.

A true sports sedan and best C class yet - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By cliv - December 22 - 10:00 amMB finally got it right with this version of the C class sedan. This car is extremely fun to drive and rides like a sports car. While the 4 cyl doesnt have an overwhelming amount of power it provides enough speed for changing lanes on the highway. If youre looking for a sporty luxury sedan that rides like a sports car this is it.

Happy - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By tporter - November 10 - 10:00 amwas moving to the inner city on the east coast and opted for a small car vs. a larger model. drove from west coast to the east and was a blast to drive cross country...very pleasntly surprised at ride comfort, car is basic in comparison to other MB models but so far had fulfilled all of my needs. probably will opt for the e series on next purchase, but this was not a bad selection at all.

Mecedes 230 Kompressor - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By Phil T - November 8 - 7:00 amThe car is "zippy." It feels very nimble on the road and around corners, especially in parking lots with its wheels-turn-in directional steering. I used to have an Infiniti G35 Sedan and it always felt cubersome driving around town. The Mercedes is fun in terms of acceleration because it gives you the boost with sound without immediately taking you over the speed limit. Great for someone who commutes through 40 mph zones 90% of the time.

Love it Love it Love it - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By kalvin97gagt - September 26 - 4:26 pmBought this car about 3 months ago used with 37k miles from the 2nd owner. Its what you expect from a german car, tight and solid but yet refined while hugging the road like a sports car. The ride is perfect, not harsh and not too loose like other non AMG models. The engine roars you through the rpm range and makes a great sound. The car is plenty quick, but it would be a monster with the 5.4 Supercharged version found in the E55

Best Car Ive ever owned! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By Steve B - August 22 - 6:13 amI love this car, it is not the fastest car I have ever owned but is more than fast enough. It is not the best MPG car I have ever owned but gets far better mileage than any other car I know of with similar performance. It turns heads even though it is a 5 year old design, I love the Mars red color. I havent had it long enough to really evaluate reliability, but have talked to several owners who have had now significant problems including one whos daughter has been driving one since she got her license and with 156k on it still loves the car. Mine is a one owner and has only 40k miles on it, it looks, drives, and smells like a brand new car. My Mileage has averaged about 20 city, 30 hwy.

fun! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
By Hamelin - August 21 - 10:00 amGreat car, handles well, fantastic brakes, the panoramic sunroof is awesume, but tight when closed. excellent build quality.Just a fun car, has many amenities like his bigger more costly brothers. Also a plus that there is not a million out there. Always gets attention, and looks.
