This Year's Model Updates:

The new model year brings freshened exterior styling to the C-Class. A new dash, redesigned seats and tweaked trim pieces help to polish the interior up a bit, as well. A new audio system with six speakers and a CD player is standard across the board. Further updates include an improved short-throw six-speed manual transmission and revised suspension tuning. A DVD-based navigation system is newly available, while the C320 wagon has been discontinued. The complimentary scheduled maintenance program has been dropped for 2005.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from top V6 engine.
Cons:
  • More expensive than competitors, ordinary cabin furnishings, small backseat.

  • The Best Used Car You Can Purchase - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

Bought this car used for 13.5K in 2010 with 60K miles. Surprisingly at this price point in 2010 other cars of different brands did not come equipped with side airbags (Chevy, Ford, etc.) excluding BMW which was more expensive and Asian cars which I wouldnt touch for fear of build quality. Even though this car is the entry level model of Mercedes build quality is unreal. When you shut the doors you feel like you are in a concert hall. Very good audio, hardly any rattles, incredibly solid and heavy door feel and overall what you expect from true German engineering. Next comes the drive.. Oh My Gosh. The supercharger kicks in at very low RPMs and the steering is tight and precise.

  • Like no other - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I purchased this automobile as a retirement gift to myself as my old truck had finally croaked. Everything about this vehicle is a delight to own, handle and drive. From dealer servicing regardless of where I have managed to land to quality of repairs and frequency of service. Its comfortable on long rides, its quiet its fun. I would really purchase no other car given a choice.

  • A Car for All Season - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Weve had this car for 7 months now, and it is our all time favorite vehicle. Elegantly designed and mechanically superb, we have driven it with pleasure and in comfort on snowy roads and in Washingtons steam-bath summer. The fuel mileage is not great (about 19 mpg), but that seems to be an inevitable tradeoff for cars of this class.

  • Review for Mercedes C240 - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I bought the C240 in Jan. 2005 and love it. It is a new vehicle with 6 miles to begin with on it. It is stylish and handles well. It is wider than the Volvo that I traded in and feels a lot heavier and safer to drive. The panel is clear and easy to follow/program. It is good in snow and severe weather which is why I bought it since I live in the mountains (Park City, Ut). It doesnt have the power that the Volvo S60 had but has more power than the C240 that I had in 2002. I am pleased with the car and the way it handles.

  • Less is More - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

When I picked up this car the salesman said that Id be getting all the build quality and safety features of the very expensives MBs. I thought "sure". He was right. My other two previous cars had both been back to the dealer for repairs in the first six months. Not this one. Theres just something about a Mercedes that connects the owner to it. No wonder people keep them for years and hundreds of thousands of miles. Im still finding small features now even after 6 months.

This car is amazing. It handles great and there a ton of features. Can also be easily customized to fit the look you need.

  • Over Priced Junk - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
    By -

This vehicle is advertised and sold as a sports sedan. Not even close. This car cant get out of its own way. Very disappointed in the performance and build quality of this Mercedes-Benz. If youre looking for a true sports sedan, dont buy these vehicles. I will never purchase a Mercedes again. Overpriced junk. There is much better quality, performance and pricing in the market.

  • Fun To Drive - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I compared this car to the BMW 3 series and found it to be a better all around car. I almost bought the 2006 model with v6 motor, but wanted the supercharged 4L with better gas mileage. This car is truly a fun car to drive. I know its not MB top of the line, but my car came with the H/K sound system, NAV,Xenon lights,Tel-Aid phone,Powered driver seat,17" chrome wheels etc. etc.. Its nice to know that I get the same extra amenities that the bigger (more expensive) upper models get, but at a fraction of the cost.

  • Lovin it! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Great car all-around. Interior is simple, yet attractive for 04 but restyling for 05 is just plain WOW! Gas mileage could be much better (like the C230K) but is about the same as the IS300.
