color my world - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By BJ Freeman - October 28 - 7:20 pmPaint on front bumper has peeled and fallen off, now it is flat back. Service tech told me I probably bumped a curb while parking and that makes the paint fall off. Stated it was a manufacturers defect but Toyota has not acknowledged yet so they will do nothing to correct it. I thought thats what a bumper guard was for. Dumb me. Also milage is not what it is rated. On a good day gets about 24 mpg.Also "tires for life" program sucks. Salesman stated "Free tires as long as you own the car, regardless". Did not tell me I also needed to buy Road Hazard on them. Sooo, I have bought 3 tires. I do have road hazard now. Thanks Deluca Toyota for hiring such ace salesmen to take advantage of us!

So far so good - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By highlama - September 13 - 2:03 amI bought this Matrix about two months ago with 175,000 miles on it for my daily 400 mile courier route and its been great - so far. Since a 200 mile leg allows me to drive at only 55 mph, I net almost 33 mpg across the entire route - which is better than I expected. The car rides great, runs smooth, and shifts easily so its been a pleasure to drive.

Toyota matrix XRS - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By codywindham - August 17 - 11:52 pmI am 16 years old and bought this as my first car. It has 241000 miles on it but it still runs like its new. It has great pickup and great handling and is really fun to drive. It gets decent gas mileage. The only thing I had to do was change the hoses but that is normal with cars with a lot of miles. I highly recommend this car.

I sat on the drivers seat and all the controls, panels, storages were right where they should be. I can control the radio without sluching forward. All the compartments are near. Thoughtful desing, space to put the quarters for toll, space to put my cups, great visibility, ample interior...

A fun car to live with ! - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By SteveM - June 4 - 4:50 pmIve had my Matrix about a month now and still get a little thrill out of driving it. I chose the base model with auto and the winter package as it really doesnt look/feel like a typical base model. Beware, the ride is too sports car like for some. Ive since realized that the front seats are about an inch too high for me (Im 6ft. tall). I have to slouch if I want to rest my elbows on longer drives. Kinda wish Id bitten the bullet and gone for the XR. Live and learn !

Good Car - 2003 Toyota Matrix
By southpaw1 - June 4 - 10:00 amOnce again Toyota has built a reliable good car. The Matrix XRS is useful in so many ways but still fun to drive. Finally a wagon that doesnt feel like an old fashion station wagon.
