  Fantastic Car - 2003 Toyota Matrix

  Ok, where do I start? This is one of the best cars I have ever owned and I have owned many in my time, all new. True, this vehicle is not a performance car. The addition of a cold air short ram intake system help immensely. As for ride, the stock tires have to be replaced. Mine were replaced with Goodyears comfort assurance, again, big difference. I’ve used it for every project around the house, versatility is excellent for a small package. The vehicle has never let me down in bad weather never stuck in snow or on ice. I have driven around vehicles stuck on snowy hills! As for mileage, a consistent 40 MPG was recorded from Jersey to Florida down Rt.95. Average is around 26 city.

  Ive had this car for two years now. im pushing 100,000 miles. my dad bought this car and then i bought it from him. we have never had a single mechanical failure. this car has been in 8 accidents and will refuse to be totaled. the best part is the fuel economy mixed with the fun to drive factor. its low to the ground with stiff independent front and rear suspension. its almost too low though. ive scraped on anything from parking blocks to speed bumps. Very fun to drive and very upgradable. it only has 13hp stock but with a little tuning and performance parts it is now pushing an easy 200hp. not good pickup at low end but it makes up for it on the top of the rpm. perfect for a first car

  Very good gas mileage. Very cheap to maintain. Can fit a surprising amount of things into the spacious "trunk". It is essentially a Corolla with a hatchback.

  Its a great car! I just got mine and i love it. I took it up to the mountains and it handled great. its a smooth ride and has lots of room! I love it!!

  A great car for its price range. I have an RX300 and this car can haul just as much stuff but get twice the gas mileage. The car handles very well and the braking is excellent. Hit 6200 RPM and you get a boost of power that i call "LIFT" which is very addicting. I am an active person and i find this car very versitile. The split 60/40 rear seat feature is nice. I can carry my mountain bike or snowboards in the car with no problem. Add a cold-air intake, lowering springs, front strut brace and rear sway bar and youll have alot more fun than its stock form. I love this car.

  This car is well built and drives very nice. The lack of horsepower causes the car to have less pep with the 5 speed than I would prefer, but it is adequate for highway driving on average.I may not be able to run with some of the sportier cars , but it gets very good mileage on a tank of fuel and now it is more important than it used to be.

  WAITED 2 MONTHS TO GET A COSMIC BLUE XRS IN HAWAII. HAVE HAD IT 1 WEEK AND JUST LOVE IT. LOOKED AT CAMRY, MAXIMA AND FELL IN LOVE WITH MATRIX AS SOON AS WE SAW IT. WE ARE NOT WHO THIS CAR IS "AIMED" AT (YOUNG ADULTS)BUT IT IS PERFECT FOR US! SPORTY STYLE, LOTS OF ROOM FOR OUR OVER 6FT. TALL FAMILY MEMBERS AND LOTS OF PEP. THIS CAR IS WORTH EVERY PENNY AND WORTH THE WAIT. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT WE COULD HAVE FOUND THE RIDE,PERFORMANCE AND ROOM IN SUCH A NICE LOOKING CAR.
