My wife loves her Matrix. She is a school teacher and carries many school related and other types of things in it. It swallows amazing quantities of stuff for a small station wagon. She also insisted upon a manual trans, and is very happy with it. Great in the turns..like a sports car. I love how easy it is to enter and exit, and the room in the rear seat. Lots of nooks to store things.

I purchased a Matrix a little over a month ago. So far I am very pleased. The gas mileage is great - averaging 27 mpg for mostly city driving. The interior is funtional and roomy. The styling is a little different, but overall it is a good looking car (although a little goofy from some angles). Performance is great - especially when the timing changes above 6000 rpm.

  • Fun Fun Fun.....at 6000+ RPMs - 2003 Toyota Matrix

I am very impressed with every aspect of this vehicle. It has the looks. Its got power. Its exceptionally versatile...and its great on gas. The vehicle handles very tight considering its ride height. The suspension is taught but not rough. The engine (2ZZ Celica GTS Engine) is silky smooth. Its a blast when you hit the 6000 RPM threshold where VVTL-i kicks in...sets you back in your seat. The creature comforts and standard features all play nicely in this very affordable pocket rocket. Highly Recommended!

I fell in love with this car the first time I saw it at an auto show. I traded a 2000 Mustang for this car and have yet to regret this decission.

This car has been one of the best vehicles that I have ever owned. I have not had one ounce of trouble with the vehicle. It drives well, rides well for a small car and I have traveled from Georgia to Kentucky, from to Kentucky to Texas and back and forth several times. Have spent a lot of hours in this car and the only complaint that I really have is having to use premium fuel. It runs well and drives well.

Absolutely thrilled with the 2003 Matrix. It is very comfortable to drive, excellent versatility with the large cargo space, and has more bang for the buck as compared to other 4wd models. Also very impressed with the high quality.

THISIS AN EYE CATCHING VEHICLE AND WE WANTD TO REPLACE OUR COROLLA. WE WANTED SOMETHING USEFUL BUT NOT THE TANKS THAT ARE RUNNING AROUND. THE MATIX FIT THE BILL. HOLDS THE DOG, AND ALL KINDS OF STUFF. VERY NIMBLE, THE TRANSMISSION IS QUITE EFFICENT. VERY STRONG IN THE HILLS WITH SEVERAL ADULTS IT IT. GETS GREAT GAS MILEAGE, I WOULD BUY 2 IF I COULD.

Ive driven a variety of cars over the past 20 years; from a Super Beetle, to an RX-7, a Sienna Van, and now a Matrix. Who says a 50+ years young woman has to drive a MawMaw car. Due to the high cost of fuel I descided to downsize, but just didnt car for the style of most small cars. I also like to drive Toyotas. I just saw this car for the first time on the lot while getting my Sienna services, and one week later am driving a White XR. I find it has enough zip for the driving I do for work. Have not taken it out on the highway yet. Wished I had researched the car, and done more negotiation with the dealer on the price.

Weve owned the matrix for 5 years now and it has over 100,000 miles. Only routine maintenance. Bought for the interior flexibility since we have 2 dogs. We bought ours used but would have preferred the V6 for a little more pep. We have had a very good experience and plan to drive this car for another 100,000 miles.
