I like the kia - 2002 Kia Sedona
By lidy - February 5 - 10:00 amI like the Kia Sedona because it drives well and the van is comfortable and I can fit 3 car seats. The only problem I have had with the car is the check engine light would come on due to not putting the gas cap on and turning it 3 clicks. Over the last year this has happend four times.

Its look is very impressive to the eye, its price is the best part of all. I hated driving my 2000 Ford Expedition. It is huge and cumbersome to drive, ya should have seen me trying to put my baby in the car seat, had to get in the truck. The Sedona is easy access from both sides. I could easily afford all of the top brand and I test drove them all, I even put a $1000 deposit on a Honda and changed my mind at the last minute after driving the Kia

A Fun Family Car to drive - 2002 Kia Sedona
By josafat - October 25 - 10:00 amMy wife and I were looking for a family car that would be comfortable for the three of us (have a 2 year old daughter), plus our baby close to arrive. After looking to some SUVs and some other mini Vans we knew this Kia was the one because the three of us (including my daughter), loved it since we went in to our test drive. It is a fun vehicle to drive with the standard CD player and cassete player. Its ride is very smooth, with its dual air conditioning controls we can easily accomodate my wifes and myself use.

By GSaibben - October 7 - 2:00 amPurchased in anticipation of several long distance trips with three active children, and having the van makes all the difference in the world. Nice performance and handling, very comfortable ride, good use of space. No mechanical problems at all. A worthwhile car, and an excellent value at the asking price. Gas mileage isnt the greatest, but people dont buy large cars expecting great MPG. Ive gotten as high as 22 cruising at 80 with a fully loaded van and dual A/C blowing -- but it drops below 20 if you are climbing serious mountains or mix city driving.

Well Pleased - 2002 Kia Sedona
By michigan - October 6 - 10:00 amIts too early to give a realistic review but I wanted to say for the first 500 miles in the 2 days I have had it it it is great.I traded in a 99 Pontiac Montana loaded with 65,000 highway miles. It was falling apart. The Kia is tight, rides better and drives better thus far. Time will tell. Seems to be well worth the money.

By Traveling Mom - September 18 - 2:00 amBought this Summer 02. In the first month, it broke down 4 times. We were just about to get going on the Lemon Law thing, but Kia really took care of things. They found the problem (finally -- some wire that was shorting out), sent their national customer service guy and mechanic to inspect it (the guys at the dealership were running around cleaning and acting nervous, so I was impressed), and have been in touch with us since to make sure were happy. Van is running great ever since.

Have to agree with other Kia owners - 2002 Kia Sedona
By mishimin - September 11 - 11:50 pmI love the design and handling of this vehicle. Down fall is back door is heavy and must be slammed in order to be closed. I have gone through 2 sets of tires on the front in a 1year, brakes and alternator went out on the same week so that was costly. Kia puts in ceramic breaks which cost more and was told by dealers and repair shops Kias alternators are infamous for failing so you must put in a new one or that one will go bad. Have had 2 new batteries. Front end, paint and windows are new due to a hurricane so I wont replace that.

New Kia Customer - 2002 Kia Sedona
By ChuckT - July 6 - 10:00 amHave about 700 miles on our new Sedona and are very pleased. The price was unbeatable. Only problems so far are a low "moaning" noise on occasion when AC is on and the motor is idling, and the remote lock system sometimes requires shutting one or two doors several times before getting an "all shut" signal. Have yet to return to the dealer to have these looked after.

NOT a good minivan option - 2002 Kia Sedona
By Jesse R - July 1 - 10:16 pmFirst warning if you are researching here: The only reason the average rating for this van is 8.0 is because the vast majority of the ratings are from 02 and 03. That said, I bought my Sedona about 1 year ago, with 50k miles. I am trading it in for an 07 Town & Country. Why? 1. Alternator died 2. bearings and axle on passenger side died 3. Tension pulley for serpentine belt fell off 4. Tranny is beginning to shift wierd (see other ecent reviews about the tranny issues with Sedonas) 5. Several squeaks and rattles that drive me nuts. 6. sticky difficult sliding doors Overall, I cannot own it any longer as I do not trust that it will serve any better than it has in the first year.

IT STUMBLES ONCE A WHILE WHEN GAS PEDAL IS DEPRESSED. AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON INDICATES PROBLEM WITH SYSTEM. BRAKES SQUEAK WHEN VAN IS SLOWING DOWN TO COMPLETE STOP. WIPER BLADES WORN OUT. GAS MILE PER GALLON. HARSH RIDE.
