Love at First Ride - 2005 Honda CR-V
By maggiepirsq - August 7 - 5:46 pmBegan looking at Honda and Toyota sedans. On a whim, deciced to take CR-V for a test drive. Decided right then that I was going to buy a CR-V or RAV4. Doing my research & comparison, I came to appreciate the way Honda allowed the consumer to decide on the options, unlike Toyota which pre-packaged many options, bringing up the price several thousand $. I got exactly what I want for $5K less than comparable RAV4. I love the ride, handles flawlessly. I can fit in all of my dogs, including my greyhound in the back. I love the height that I sit at. 20 years ago spent $18,900 on a Crown Vic LX & it was really not a quality auto. Now I have spent only $500 more and have gotten a great quality auto!

Jack of all trades - 2005 Honda CR-V
By MTB - April 3 - 2:41 pmAfter 3 1/2 years of ownership, I can honestly say Ive been very happy with this vehicle. In my mind the most informative reviews are the ones written after years of driving, not the knee-jerk responses people often post before theyve had a chance to get to know their vehicle. This CR-V has been a great all-rounder. Its impressed me on road trips with excellent cargo space and surprisingly good MPG (averaged 30MPG highway on long trips). My CR-Vs been great for my constant outings with the dogs, and has even done some fairly serious offroading (which it handled quite well). The AWD has performed admirably in severe snow\ice conditions. Overall happy with only minor complaints (see below).

Love my CRV - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Adrianne - December 18 - 11:47 amI honestly cant say enough good things about my CRV. It drives nicely, handles well, has nice features and is relatively good on gas mileage for an SUV. Good interior space - comfortably fits my Great Dane, Bulldog, cat carrier, and all my luggage without feeling squished and cramped. Reliability is phenomenal! I have over 125,000 miles on my car in just 3 years and havent had to do more than the scheduled oil changes and a brake repair earlier this year.

Excellent car! - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Stretch - July 26 - 9:43 amThis has been a great car for me and my husband and two golden retrievers. Love that we got an interior with leather, the dog hair would have been awful on cloth. Its pretty comfy to drive in, although my husband (511") complains about the way it feels for him to drive it, his knees bump into the console.

What a great car...really. - 2005 Honda CR-V
By Whitney - July 23 - 2:30 amI have had my CR-V for almost 3 years now and it never seems to grow old on me. For an SUV (albeit a smaller one) it has great pickup, is comfortable for all who ride in it, and is very user friendly. It takes 5 seconds to turn the backseat down and create cargo space. As someone who has moved 3 times in 3 years to places 700 miles from each other, the CR-V has been a lifesaver, not just for my moves, but on a day to day basis.

Zebe Review - 2005 Honda CR-V
By zebe56 - March 30 - 1:43 pmMore room inside than I thought it would have. Solid ride. Handles the road nice although pick up could be better - sometimes feels a bit sluggish. Mileage on sticker isnt true. Wish they had a hybrid model available.

Seat Belts and Honda Saved My Family - 2005 Honda CR-V
By helspers - January 20 - 3:29 pmMy wife and kids got into an accident where my CR-V was declared "totaled." A 2003 MDX swerved in front my CR-V and was T-boned. My family walked away with some bruised shoulders and hips, but nothing more. The safety personnel at the crash site repeatedly stated that the Honda did was it was built to do (e.g., crumple zone, and the engine dropped). Thank you Honda for a superbly built automobile.

my noisey 2005 crv - 2005 Honda CR-V
By GARY NEVINS - January 16 - 2:00 amthis crv is a great vehicle but after owning 32 new cars,(eight Hondas) this is the noisest vehicle Ive ever driven!!! If I drove it before I purchased it I never would have bought it! Ive driven (three) 2003 crvs and (four) 2004 crvs and none have the terrible ROAD NOISE this one has!!! It sounds like the rear door is always ajar! Be advised that in the 2005 model Honda went to a 16 inch tire, possibly this is the problem. The dealer says drive it for a couple of thousand miles to see if the tires need to be broken in or possibly replaced. Ive only had it for 10 days but Im extremely dissapointed with the vehicle (only because of the road noise) so far.
