  • 2005 CRV-SE - 2005 Honda CR-V

I love the vehicle - For it being an SE it is missing some features such as homelink, powerful stereo, lit vanity mirrors, power drivers seat and fog light. The CRV is very fun to drive and is compact but has alot of room...etc backseat and the rear. We love how the back seats recline. I am suprised that Honda hasnt moved the gear selector. This is definately the best vehicle for the room and the money. You cant go wrong with a Honda.

  • We like this car - 2005 Honda CR-V

This car was the perfect mix of a minivan/SUV, priced good and room for our two kids. The only downside is the interior scratches easily (plastic sides in the back and dash). We love to drive it, and the gas mileage is very good.

  • Not happy with new CRV - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

As an expectant mother I wanted a mini SUV and wanted the "reliability" of the Japanese cars. I went with the top of the line SE edition. Within 3 months of buying the car, a strange clicking sound began from the steerting wheel area. It became unbearable and so I took it to the dealer. They needed an entire day to take the entire steering wheel apart. I had meetings in the afternoon and since Honda has no loaner program even for situations like this where a new car is performing so poorly, I was unable to leave it. I planned on taking it back, but the noise has become inconsistent and they wont be able to work on it if they cant duplicate it. I am very unhappy with the CRV and Honda.

  • Serious safety flaw in VSA system of CRV - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

I was in a severe accident, because of the VSA system. I was on the onramp and there was a sharp turn, when I tried to comply with the turn, the VSA took over and turned the vehicle the other way, and I hit the guard rail, almost totalling the car. Be very careful I was lucky to walk away, with any major injury. I was slow enough that the airbags did not even deploy.

  • "SEE OUR V" - 2005 Honda CR-V

This is my second Honda, (still have my first one--10 years old and still going strong). Wanted a larger vehicle, but nothing too big. Extensively researched the Equinox, RAV-4, Vue, Sorrento, Escape, Tribute, Highlander and Liberty, but options, fuel economy, reliability and price kept me coming back to the CRV. The vehicle comes fully loaded in the base price of the SE model. Most other companies charge extra for, "packages," that can be added to the vehicle. Fuel economy is much better than most other SUV models. Very fun to drive. Lots of pickup for a 4 cylinder and tackles hills without a problem.

Interior design poor, dash board very simple compair to Honda Accord 05. Running noisy, side mirror not flex like Honda Accord 05. No interior temperature control.

  • So Far So Good - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

Bought my CR-V over the weekend and have driven it about 150 miles so far. Everything works well except the sunglasses holder. It takes a little push in the back after the standard push in the front that should have done the job. The car drives nice and feels solid, much tighter than the 04 Odyssey I got earlier in the year. The car feels a bit under-powered above 70 mile per hour, however it could be me missing the instant acceleration I got used to from the 2000 Accord V6 I traded in or the fact that I was unease with driving too fast while breaking in the new car. Headlights are nice and bright, now I am bothering car drivers like I used to be bothered.

  • So So CRV - 2005 Honda CR-V

New SE CRV doesnt live up to hype. MPG rated 23/29. Havent seen 23 even on flat west Texas highways. You can expect real MPG in teens. Ride and drive harsh. Hope the safety features are not over rated as well. Still worth the money for a SUV. Lot of vehicle for $20k. Bottom line - if MPG is a big issue, buy a car.

  • Its a keeper - 2005 Honda CR-V

Purchased a mini-SUV came down to a Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V. I liked the body style of the RAV4 over the CR- V, but could not locate a RAV4 with leather, all-wheel drive and side curtain airbags. I purchased the SE AWD because of the AWD, leather and the body-color bumpers, side molding and spare tire cover, much more attractive then the black molding and bumpers. Athought the body style reminds me of a Chevrolet Blazer, it has the best safely features. As for the vehicle, it rides nice and itÂ’s comfortable, although I do wish the CR-V had electric seats and removable rear seats. The SUV could use more under- body sound proofing, as the road noise is a little loud.
