A Special Edition trim debuts that includes heated leather seats, heated mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, as well as body-color bumpers, side molding, door handles and hard spare tire cover.

Pros:
  • Highly versatile and roomy interior, stable handling, comfortable ride, good crash test scores standard airbags, ABS and stability control.
Cons:
  • Limited off-road ability, not as big inside as some of its competitors, no V6 option.

  • Great in town SUV - 2005 Honda CR-V

This is a perfect small get a round town SUV. It does great in northren Michigan snow. Get low to mid 20s MPG all the time. Very tight, very nimble. Will probably move up to a 2006 EX model with a few more gadgets soon.

CRV has plenty of power for an SUV of its size.It is very comfortable. It does have a below average ride, though. you cannot talk over the noise when on rough roads. Also, the CRV is a little bit noisy in the front-end when manuevering in a close area such as in a parking lot. Also, noisey windows when lowering or raising.

  • Best First Car Ever - 2005 Honda CR-V

My mom bought this car brand new in 2005 and gave it to me for my 16th birthday in December 2015. My Mom struggled giving me this car because she loved it so much. I love the car so much, the gas mileage isnt the best in the whole world but its not bad, especially taking the size into consideration. I can easily fit 4 friends in the car no problem. The car didnt start to have a lot of problems until about a year ago when it hit 80,000 miles. Since then, weve replaced the radiator, the head gasket, control arm bushings, and spark plugs. It totaled about $2,500 but keep in mind that besides tires and brake pads, we havent had to do anything else the entire 11 years weve owned it. This is a great starter car and I would recommend it to anybody. Obviously get a pre purchase inspection anyways because every car is different.

  • My First SUV - Lovin It - 2005 Honda CR-V

Its very different going from a Nissan Altima to SUV but I have to say I love it. I like being higher from the ground and your proliferal vision is so much better. I researched the RAV4, Forrester, Escape, etc. but thought the CR-V had much more to offer. The interior room is spacious especially in second row compared to SUVs in the same class. The ride is smooth and it handles great in the snow - no slipping and stopped when I wanted to stop. The SE package is reasonable priced with so many features - great options available - auto start/back-up sensors. My insurance was actually cheaper than the Altima because of all the safety features.

  • CRV SE edition is nice - 2005 Honda CR-V

I got a new 2005 CRV SE in Pewter Pearl color with black leather seat inside. I have been waiting for the SE edition. The new color looks really nice, especially with the front and rear bumpers painted. I traded in my 2003 silver Pilot. The Pilot is nice but kind of big for me. The car is very fun, easy, and peppy to drive. Power is also good enough for me, better than 2001 CRV. Not a road burner but good enough for everyday use. The Pilot has more power but feel heavier when drive and so the CRV feels more peppy to drive. Noise is also very acceptable for me. It has been improved much better than my previous 2001 CRV but not as good as the 2003 Pilot.

  • My 2003 CR-V trip to Colorado - 2005 Honda CR-V

I bought my Cr-V in March of 2003. I drove it to Colorado in August. It performed just great. I love it. I had a 97 before that and loved it also. I got excellent trade in price for the 97. I would reccomend the Cr-V to everyone.

My parents gifted me this lovely SUV the day before homecoming in high-school. I was beyond excited, though slightly bummed that I hadnt received a sedan. (I learned to drive in a mid-sized sedan; anything larger frightened me at the time.) Nevertheless, I had a car that was just for me. I dont know too much about cars, but I can tell you what Ive learned after putting 17k miles on this trooper. Ill start with the cons, since thats probably what youre reading the reviews for. The acceleration isnt anything to get excited over. Ive noticed a slight lag as I try to accelerate with passing/merging. Also, at times when I slow down (like at a red light that turns green the second you stop) there is a sort of click or hiccup as my car shifts back into gear. Not sure if this is a common problem among the models, though. The 20-23mpg wasnt stunning either, but for the size and space within the vehicle, can you really complain that much? Recently, I had to put about 1k in repairs (done through Honda dealership--probably a mistake, couldve gotten it done cheaper) to update some hoses and belts within the engine as I had begun to have issues with power steering. But hey, thats the only repair Ive ever needed. The interior is noisy when driving, but with the radio on, its hard to notice. Also, limited knick-knack storage. Now for the positives. THE A/C, OH, JESUS! That system blew me away. With my car being as old as she is, I was expecting a toot of air every now and then. No. You have a warm, toasty oven as a heater, and a polar ice cap for the cooler. Secondly, the seats are super comfortable. Lots of support and super roomy even for taller passengers. I can fit three friends easily in the back. Thirdly, you have a picnic table as your floor in your trunk! Seriously. Its so great. The drive is smooth without any lag in steering as you turn. You have so much opportunity for cargo space, its not even funny. The seats collapse and fold up behind the driver and passenger seat to expand trunk space. I fit half an apartments worth of junk back there when my boyfriend moved into a house. Also, it takes probably $20-$25 to fill up your tank. Im impressed and I love my little mom-car. I think its a very good investment, personally.
