Excellent - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By tp13fox - July 8 - 5:30 pmPros: If you are looking for a 1st New Car to buy or lease, I recommend the Corolla. The MPG cant be beat both on Highway and city. It has excellent carrying capacity which is surprising for a car this size. For a 4 cyl it is fast and lightweight which all contribute to fuel economy. Cons: Some people like the low-rider look with low fenders which the sport model features. Downside is it easily scratched on concrete parking blocks or dips especially exitting elevated parking.

I like my Toyota - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Pat Thetic - June 28 - 10:00 amI have had a good 7 months with my Toyota. The only problem I have had is bird droppings on the red paint has left dark spots. I have washed it many times and as of yet have not been able to get rid of the stains.

Best Compact Car - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Robt Cobb - June 20 - 7:36 pmI have 103000 miles on my 03 LE Corolla. This LE will last 400,000 miles just by changing the trans fluid every 10,000 ml, oil at 3,000 ml, spark-plugs at 10-15 months. Tires when worn. The higher wheel base keeps the car from scarping the curb. You can also repair (or find mechanics to repair this car) very cheaply! With premium or high octane gas I get 34cty/40hwy. And I drive at speeds of 70+mph! The speakers are fine but I hate the lame radio/DVD which is too hard to swap out and the space doesnt accommodate any of the popular MP3 players! The larger headlights are a welcomed improvement. The higher door and head room is a great improvement for my bike and computer stuff.

By eddtinker - June 11 - 10:00 amGood gas milage,reliability,not impressed with fit of dash above radio,I have two 2003s and the tightness of fit is poor on both.Overall the cars do what their designed to do,and do it cheaply.

Great First Car - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By First Car Owner - June 10 - 2:00 amI couldnt really ask for more in a first new car. At almost 10,000 miles I have yet to have a single problem...knock on wood! I get many positive comments from people on the exterior looks. The interior white gauges on black interior is beautiful. The interior is very spacious, especially the back seat. Much more comfortable interior than the Civic or Jetta. Have had inconsistant mileage, as only real complaint, varying from low 20s to upper 30s depending on weather here in upstate New York.

A Very Sweet Ride - 2003 Toyota Corolla
By Xeos131 - April 9 - 10:00 amBefore I actually purchased my Corolla, I did extensive research on every car in its class. Let me tell you, I made the right choice. This was my first car, and I wanted it to be a car that would be economic yet sporty, and fun yet safe, not to mention reliable. So far, my cute Corolla S hasnt disappointed me yet. It has gotten head turn after head turn, and all my friends love it. If you are thinking about getting this car, do it! None of its classmates come close, in my opinion, at least.
