A sporty new XRS model debuts boasting a 170-horsepower engine and a sport-tuned suspension. Additionally, all Corollas receive a restyled front fascia and rear taillights. The LE model now has Lexus-like Optitron instrumentation, along with a cloth-trimmed center console and sun visors. Side curtain airbags, stability control and a JBL audio system are all new options.

Love my Corolla - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Stan Hillyard - December 27 - 2:36 pmThe main selling point was visibility. The Corolla drivers seat allows better rear visibility for a shorter driver (my wife) than the Civics we looked at. Having purchased it I love to drive it. It is very solid at freeway speeds and carries 4 people comfortably. I get the advertized 30 mpg in the city and 35-37 mpg driving from Las Vegas to LA at 85 mph with the air conditioning on. The air conditioning handles Las Vegas summers and doesnt underpower the engine. The trunk is large. My only complaint is lots of road noise on some old concrete freeways, probably due to the stiff suspension (that we love).

By marie - December 20 - 9:23 pmi love my little white car it is fun to drive and has all the bells and whistles that you need. if your a large person or tall this is probally not the car for you. this is a great 1st car for a teenager. very easy to drive and the stero system is not too bad either.

By coloradorocks - December 18 - 10:00 amSince that Im college student. I love this car. With all the room in th trunk and the back seat I am able to move all my stuff to college and back home. The interior is really nice. I like that layout of the buttons for a/c, rear windopw defroster, and etc., because then I reach over really quick and my eyes stay on the road. Compared to my other cars that I owned in the past. I sit up higher to have better visiability.

Dont waste your money - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By maplesugar6 - December 9 - 2:26 amThis has been my second Toyota and I always have heard good things about the Corolla, but I have to say I was not impressed at all. I hate that it does not have anti-lock breaks. When I bought it they told me it did and then I had to find out through a minor fender bender it didnt. I also had problems with my speakers, windshield and passenger door. It is hard to accelerate and at times it hesitates when turning from one road to another. I hate it and wish I had never gotten rid of my Rav4. I loved my Rav. I would not recommend this car to anyone. I had way too many problems with it for a new car. It should have been perfect.

Quality - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By griffyx - December 2 - 11:16 pmThis car has left me on the side of the road. The computer (ECU) needed replaced. The window molding is a joke and coming off. It makes a cow sounding noise running at about 35 mph or breaking. Always is hard to start. The quality has slipped on the Corollas.

Good but Not Great - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Good but not Great - November 26 - 7:16 amOverall it is a great car. Fun to drive, a lot of pep for a car this size (without A/C, and only driver). Good design, holds up well. Got the car Feb 2005 - and it has 90,000 miles on it Sept 2008. No Major complaints, would recommend to anyone. Had to get the ECU changed within the first couple of months because it was hard to start. The tires wore extremely bad on edge even after Toyota Dealership aligned them Only 16K on 60K tires. Got them aligned recently and it has been much better. Passenger window rattles at any speed. Also the idle/tensioner pulley makes ticking noises and has been replaced 5 times, yes five times. Without the extended warranty Im sure this would probably be costly.

The Best of Many Worlds - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By P. Onsager - November 9 - 2:36 pmI spent a lot of time deciding on a car. I was almost sure I wanted a Civic Si, but when I randomly saw and test drove the XRS, my search had come to an end. It combines comfort, very decent styling, excellent interior materials and build quality, and easily the most rev-happy engine in its class. It can be driven mildly, as it doesnt actually hit 170hp until high (6-7k) rps but if you actually enjoy driving, its a blast. Love revving way up in 1st and youre good to go from there on out. Combine these things with the fact that Toyota has maintained a reliability record that with Honda has been on the decline, and you have one great car...if youre lucky enough to find one!

For the Price, It is Well Worth It!!! - 2005 Toyota Corolla
By Alexiander Soler - October 5 - 9:10 amThe price that was paid for this vehicle, I would have to say that it is well worth it. The Corolla LE is extremely comfortable, reliable, and fun to drive. It saves me plenty of money on gas, where as there are times that I do not have to fill the tank for at least two weeks. I think that I made the right choice on this one.
