Second and LAST Subaru - 2010 Subaru Impreza
By weegian - July 25 - 8:13 amThis is my second Impreza. The first one, a 2006, was a much better car. I had no problems with the 2006. The 2010 has 31k miles on it and feels like its rattling apart. Its been idling rough for a few months, but according to the dealership that I brought it to, thats what makes a Subaru a Subaru. I just dropped it off for an oil change and found out that the rear brakes are completely worn down to the metal. The paint is also pretty terrible. It scratches if you look at it funny. After less than a year, I had scratches around all of the door handles. Its my personal theory that Toyota is not so slowly trying to kill the Impreza.

Great Car - 2010 Subaru Impreza
By Mark T - July 17 - 12:16 amSo far Ive had it 3 weeks, and have a little over 1500 miles on it. Have taken a trip through Adirondack Mountains and averaged 30.1 miles and city driving is about 26. Its a great car for 20k, sunroof, premium stereo, fog lights, heated seats, winter package, alloy wheels and AWD. Looked @ a lot of other cars, Honda Fit Sport, Scion, Toyota, Nissan, etc, nothing and I mean nothing came close. Dealership was great to work with. Thanks Tony.

New impreza outback sport - 2010 Subaru Impreza
By malcolm - June 26 - 12:13 amFirst, why have two different vehicles both named, "outback"? With the impreza, you wind up getting Outback parts that dont fit your car. Cheap radio---10 speakers, if you can find them--Probably the worst sounding radio one will ever find in any automobile. Paint is so soft, just looking at it will start it to peel! Passenger seat is so low, it actually hides the passenger from view. Does not have the fit, finish and refinement of other cars in its class. You are purchasing a working-mans auto, for basic transportation. No thrills here, but the 170 HP engine is a bit surprising, due to his high torque #s. You get what you pay for....and this automobile is down market.

Brings Pleasure Back to Driving - 2010 Subaru Impreza
By JasonK43 - May 29 - 2:10 amI forgot what pleasure can be had out of driving a car until this Impreza came along. For a 2.5 N/A engine, this thing is peppy! Great handling, good speed and excellent ride at high speeds. Its my third week with the car and I already have over 2,300 miles because I cant stop finding excuses to take this baby out! Love the standard wheels on the Outback Sport, as well as the seat warmers and two-tone paint (I got the silver). Few minor changes I would make to this car, but other than that, this car is such a joy. Gas mileage has been better than EPA estimates! (How often does that happen?) Avg. 29.5 Hwy, 22 City

Cure for the Corolla - 2010 Subaru Impreza
By GTP_Kent - May 28 - 9:00 pmTime will tell on many of the subjects of this review (build quality, reliability, etc). Engine, 4 Wheel Independent Suspension, Steering, Handling, all of the above are great in this car. Utility with the hatchback is great. Grip with the AWD is incredible under any conditions (wet, uneven surfaces, poorly kept roads, etc). The 4speed auto isnt great but the manual shift mode takes care of that with ease. Exterior appearance is subdued but handsome. Interior looks are good and materials are great for occupants who are damage prone. Great all around car with few draw backs.

STI Special Edition - 2010 Subaru Impreza
By solly - December 8 - 2:50 amI just traded in my 2002 WRX (which I loved and which took me over 108,000 miles without a hiccup, but was getting a bit shabby)for this "Special Edition" STI. The acceleration, grip levels and cornering are mind-boggling for a 4 door car. I thought my old WRX was quick but this thing is a rocket ship. Easy to drive and stable at high speeds. Driver-controllable differentials and driver- controlled "sport", "sport plus" and "intelligent" settings for either raw power in the twisties or relaxed economical highway driving. The body style is aggressive with wide wheel arches and the JDM wheels with summer tires. Interior could be more luxurious but I bought the car to drive, not live in. Love it

Its a thing of beauty - 2010 Subaru Impreza
By Jim - November 26 - 11:03 pmGranted only 200 miles on this 2010 2.5 hatchback (auto), but I love it. Sort of fell into the purchase, but very happy. Very nice styling, good features, performance pretty good - outstanding value overall. Put some 140,000 miles on a 2001 Audi A4 (1.8) Quattro - and I dont see the Subaru as a let down at all.

Great first Car - 2010 Subaru Impreza
By Steven D. - August 20 - 12:56 pmI checked out the Subaru dealership after talking to friends who owned Subarus and after being so sick of the other dealers feeding me crap about how great their cars were, even though I knew they were not for me. Extremely happy with my purchase and would think of owning any other brand in the future.

2010 2.5i Subaru Sedan - 2010 Subaru Impreza
By Anonymous - May 12 - 2:00 amI purchased my Subaru Impreza about 5 months ago after trading off my Honda Pilot. I was hesitant because of the large amount of snow we get in North Dakota. However, I could not be happier with the trade. The gas mileage is much better, no problems in the first 8,000 miles, and it is fun to drive. We ended up with 12 inches of snow in 24 hours and I had no issues commuting to and from work. Probably the funnest car I have owned, and it is number 6.
