  • SUBAWESOME - 2010 Subaru Impreza

I love how this car looks. When I got out of my previous car at the dealership I was drawn like a magnet to it. I got the dark glitter gray. It looks dark enough to be black but in the light it looks purplish black. The stock ground effect kit and fog lights look so mean. The seats and little red details are a rally car drivers dream. Im so glad the race pedals are an option on the WRX and not just the STI. It handles so well! I cant wait to go to Mt. Baldy and run those curves in the snow. The radio is ok. Set the treble lower like 1 and the bass at 3 and itll sound better. Also you can turn the feature on that clears the sound up a bit. Really the 6 speaker audio is not bad if tweak it.

  • Great do-it-all with minimal compramise. - 2010 Subaru Impreza

2.5i premium Impreza, automatic, silver ext. black int. So far its a great car with a near perfect mix of everyday practicality and enthusiasm (shared use for two drivers). HP and Torque are good across the entire rev range, steering is responsive, suspension is just right. Manually shifted auto is great fix for so-so automatic. Ext. styling is handsome but subdued. Int. styling is nice and despite concerns for hard plastics the materials are good for those who have kids or other damage prone occupants. Bottom line: more sporty than any Toyota, more power than Hondas, more grip than anything, and an excellent community of owners to support anyone with questions or concerns. A great choice.

  • Scooby Doo = my new Subie-Roo! - 2010 Subaru Impreza

I was giggling like a little boy after test-driving my WRX at the dealership. Id tested the 2.5i Premium and was disappointed by the performance. Then I drove Scooby. Oh. My. God. Love at first drive. Stupid fast. I shouldnt be allowed to have a car this fast. Scooby loves curves too, eats em up. Im taking it to the track (never been before) in a couple of weeks. I go to sleep every night dreaming of my upcoming track day. So fast, my wife complains if I hit the gas. My Dad said it was "almost scary" after I took him for a spin (pretty sure he meant the car, not my driving ;)). Best car for my money!

  • Still lovin this rocket! - 2010 Subaru Impreza
    By -

After 4 months this street legal rocket-ship is still the best escape I can recommend to those who want safety, power and AWD fun for a daily driver or a weekend warrior! No regrets in adding this power monster to my growing Subaru fleet (the 5th Subaru Ive owned); it compliments my 2005 Legacy GT sedan perfectly. Looking forward to taking this beast to NJ MotorSports in the spring for a track weekend; it separates itself from the pack in that it handles superbly, power is smooth and turbo spools-up quick; the adjustable torque and limited-slip features are also excellent. Ride quality is tight and extreme - it goes where you point it - what more could you want from a performance car?

  • Good car but expected better from Subaru - 2010 Subaru Impreza
    By -

This is a long term rental replacing a Mazda 3. First the Impreza feels more like a Buick, it floats. I’m used a hard suspension with precise steering, I don’t have it here. The car floats over the road, which is nice for long trips, but no fun on twisty roads. The suspension in turns feels every bump and skips instead of holding the car in place. OEM tyres are crap for handling. The Auto tranny doesn’t hold a gear or downshifts on its own going down the hill. The manual shift also does hold the gear (yes it shifts down even though 2 is shown on the dash). Engine has good power, but tranny reduces it. Comfy inside, good layout, nice equipment.

  • Makes me happy - 2010 Subaru Impreza
    By -

I got the manual, Im really happy with it. Im a taller guy and usually hit my head on the roof of most small cars when I sit straight up or lean forward, not the impreza, plenty of room. After test driving a Mazda3, Elantra, Civic, and Toyota Matrix, and renting all sorts of economy cars all summer, I was surprised at how much more powerful it felt, how much better it handled and how much nicer the interior looked than most of the other cars in this price range. It feels great on the highway and the steering feels tight, handles nice around corners, the other cars I test drove felt sloppy. The seats and seating position are more comfortable than most small cars which tend to feel awkward.

  • Great All Around Car! - 2010 Subaru Impreza
    By -

Drove lots of cars to compare; 10 GTI, 10 Legacy 2.5GT, 10 A3, etc and ended up with my 2nd WRX. Had an 02 before and loved it...5 cars later Im driving another one that is much more expensive unfortunately, but also much more car all-in-all. Cant beat the performance, comfort, AWD, and utility of the WRX in this price range, nothing comes close. I love the design and interior of the GTI and admit its interior is especially much better than the WRX for the money, but the lack of power, AWD, and cargo space made it fall behind too far. Just had a big ice/snow storm and car performed flawlessly!! Im very happy with my choice.

  • Mistake - 2010 Subaru Impreza
    By -

I traded in my 2008 Chevy Trailblazer to save money on car payments and in gas. I do feel like a made a mistake by not really shopping around a bit before making my decision. I was trying to save money but making sure that I got a vehicle that had AWD. I wouldnt recommend getting the Impreza and would tell anyone who asked to look into other AWD cars. There are plenty out there, they may be a bit pricey but I believe its worth it to love what you drive. I also have been looking into a few other cars that have AWD and if you look online, you can find lists of cars that have an AWD option. On top of not "loving that car", the dealer that I bought this from just wanted to sell a car.

  • Love the STI - 2010 Subaru Impreza
    By -

Have only a couple hundred miles on this beast, but I am feeling the love. Very mild mannered in daily driving, and the stiff suspension is livable. But, any acceleration above 4,000 rpm is when the magic happens. Then hold on! Superior performance and handling for a bargain price.

  • terrible car - 2010 Subaru Impreza

i was expexcting so much more out of this car.bought it new in 2010. after about 3000 miles realized that i had no oil thought that was weird. but let it go happen again.so i took it to the dealership where i had bought the car and they said they had been getting a lot of these kind of complaints. So i sold that thing as soon as possible and got my self a wry and could not be happier. same car just much better all around except for gas milage. glad i sold that car
