  • My first Subaru, Love it! - 2010 Subaru Impreza

I must say that Im quite impressed. Of course I did a TON of research before settling on the Subaru Impreza for my purchase, so I expected the impression I have. It is fun to drive, peppy, handles like a dream, great in inclement weather. Controls for stereo, cruise and other features are comfortable and easy to use. Very roomy back seat (compared to my previous car anyway). I really like the styling as well. A couple small complaints: The steering wheel support from the center to the bottom of the wheel.. I like to put my hand there! The center storage console could be bigger and padded for your elbow. Theres a little more road noise than Id like to have... thats about it! :)

  • Not as good as 2006? - 2010 Subaru Impreza

This is a replacement of my 2005 Impreza Sport (manual). Some things are better, some are worse. Better instrumentation overall (but where are some gauges that used to be there – “idiot lights” are for idiots). I like the engine, it seems to be a bit more responsive, but the rest of the “sport” designation is not as good: greater roll (not as firm suspension? Higher center of gravity?), the seats are too comfortable: for “wide” people. The bucket seats are sized to fit much bigger person and don’t embrace as tightly. When combining that with increased roll in turns, the feeling of “tight control” is not there. Gearbox, while smooth could use different ratios and one more gear.

This car burns a ton of oil and they will not fix it. It has to burn more than 1 quart every 1,200 miles or they will not fix it. I am unhappy with Subaru for this reason alone. I will not buy another Subaru or promote buying any of their cars. If something breaks or is flawed, like my engine, they wont make it right.

  • Much for the money! Great value. - 2010 Subaru Impreza

I had a Subaru Legacy in the past, and this car is just about the same size. I like the handling, the fuel mileage, the AWD, the interior, and even the radio/CD player. I drove a friends Mercedes Benz a few years ago, and this car reminds me of the drive, comfort, stability, and tightness of that $50,000+ vehicle. I absolutely love it. I have Satellite radio and enjoy that on longer drives. I drives like you are on a cloud! Very, very smooth and comfy. I will be driving it for a long time!

Purchased a 2010 White Wrx Premium on Halloween and love it. It handles great; And also has a very smooth ride. Has the 10 speaker sound system and has a pretty good sound. Use as daily driver and on average I achieve 23.4 mpg. Car delivers lots of power, and has a very very refined engine. Pulls hard but very smooth. All in all I couldnt be happier with my purchase. When I purchased this model there were only 9 in the us of the white wrx premium. If you can obtain a premium wrx I highly recommend it, youll love it!

Finally drove a new, with 6 miles on it, pearl white 2010 WRX HB equipped with the SPT shortshifter and exhaust. Within a few minutes I knew this was the car for me. Excellent low end power, handling and road feel. Plus it has AWD. Finally found a replacement for my long gone 04 R32.

Since my last review 11/27, my wife has put 3400 miles on her car. I drive it from time to time and have to say Im impressed with the car. I enjoy driving it and feel it has a lot of pick up with the boxster engine. The car feels very tight and the steering wheel is excellent in terms of its thickness and feel. We had trouble finding a car seat that did not angle so far back, but found a Britax that fits perfectly. We have had a couple of snow storms and the car has handled great. Very happy with the purchase so far and would recommend.

My wife was looking for an AWD sedan because we have a new born. She could not be happier with her purchase. We werent looking to purchase new but after the deal that was offered she ending up with 2010. I wasnt sure if the car was going to be big enough, but she has more than enough room for her and our 4 month old.

  • Lots of good, and a little bad - 2010 Subaru Impreza

I bought this car to replace my overworked Honda Civic. This car has more than enough power and grip to satisfy most people. It makes driving fun again. Ive been netting 26MPG the first couple of tanks. The hatchback is very roomy, but the rear window does cut it down some. The interior has the feel of an igloo cooler, but when youre driving you tend to forget about it. Stereo isnt that great, but like others have said you buy this car to enjoy driving it. Getting into the upper RPM range sounds like youre taking off in a jet even without the optional exhaust. This car has made my daily driving errands enjoyable, and I cant wait to hop in it again.

From 03 WRX to 10 STi SE. Even with the AC on, this cars acceleration absolutely destroys my 03 WRX w/ AC turned off, and less turbo lag. Ride is noticeably stiffer (but quieter), but an issue only on poorly maintained roads; handles extremely well. Plenty of room for the kids in the back seat, dog in the hatch. Interior/seats are nice, but seats need more side bolstering. Stereo is awful. Short- throw shifter a must-have upgrade. Can set fuel cut as high as 6700, neat little beeping shift light. Adjustable center differential. Set throttle to S#, Sport and I mode are sluggish. Brembo stopping power is just brutal. I average 18.5mpg mixed driving. 5-star crash-test ratings.
