Model Overview:

Crossovers with carlike ride and handling characteristics are perennially popular, and a good example of the breed is the smart-looking Ford Edge. It's a midsize crossover with seating for five. Thanks to its roomy interior, long list of amenities and available all-wheel drive, it's typically a good match for small- and medium-size families seeking a do-it-all utility vehicle.

In road tests, our editors have praised the Edge's quiet ride and advanced features like the MyFord Touch electronics interface, though as with most modern, in-car technology, there's a learning curve. Additionally, Ford offers a range of different engines in the Edge to appeal to crossover buyers seeking performance, fuel economy or a balance of both. Although the Ford Edge might not appeal to bigger families in need of high passenger capacity, it's a solid contender in most other respects.

  • 2015 Ford Edge Titanium *Guards Green* - 2015 Ford Edge

So I am a 24 year old and have had my 2015 Ford Edge titanium with the 2.0 eco boost 4cyl in the guards green color for a bit over a month. So far, very satisfied with the car. The color is awesome, almost like a Greyish-green. Great ride height, good visibility of the road. The 4 cyl, in my opinion is enough power for the car. I would imagine the 6 cyl version being terrible on gas mileage. I drive mainly city, stop and go traffic in Brooklyn and I am averaging 16.2mpg for approx 1200 miles I have already put on the car. Interior is extremely comfortable. A lot of technology!!! Bluetooth is very easy to use and responsive. Touch screen display is excellent as well. I have ambient lighting in the vehicle as well which I love. Another feature I find my self using is the foot activated rear lift gate. Very useful believe it or not. Also the auto start fuction from the key fob is excellent. Use it almost every day, I anticipate using it daily once the winter hits the north eastOverall I am very satisfied with the vehicle and deffinetly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxury SUV

Just received a 2015 edge SEL AWD we had ordered. This vehicle is remarkable. Drives more like an Audi, Lexus or BMW, nimble, tight, firm, great road hugging despite being mid size SUV. Fit and finish is perfect. I mean perfect. Interior materials as good or better than Asian rivals. I will update as we put miles on the vehicle.

  • I LIKE THIS CAR - 2015 Ford Edge

The Edge is a comfortable, quiet car with good pickup and a smooth ride. I like the technology, it was easy for me to learn. Im still getting use to the backup camera, this is a great feature but does take some getting use to. So over all I like the car and I am looking forward to many years of service form it.

  • New Edge Night and Day Difference - 2015 Ford Edge

We traded in our 2013 Edge SEL and opted for the 2015 Edge Titanium. We are very impressed with the new design both inside and out. Our new Edge is as quiet if not more than my mother in laws 2015 BMW X5. The ride quality has improved even with the optional 20in Tires. I know people gripe about the My Ford Touch, but knock on wood we have never had any issues. The push button controls are a nice alternative to My Ford Touch. The engine provides more than enough power for us in the hills in and around Pittsburgh. We are still under 5000 miles, but continue to be pleased with our purchase. I would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

  • Great Vehicle - 2008 Ford Edge

Vehicle currently has 180,000 miles on it and has been an amazing car. Mechanically, no major problems have ever arose. I did have to do the rear wheel bearings at 150k. Besides that and your typical brakes, tires, and tune ups car has been flawless. It does have good power and excellent AWD system. Does great in northern Wisconsin winters. I drive about 60% hwy and average just over 21 mpg with aggressive driving, so gas mileage isnt great but worth it with the quality of the vehicle. Highly recommend if youre looking for an AWD crossover thats well built.

This is my fourth Edge since 2007. As the years models changed over the car keeps getting better looking. We use our Edges for trip to FL around 1200 miles and have no problems. All cars have not let us down. Smooth ride and great colors.

  • I usually dont give 5 star reviews - 2008 Ford Edge

Bought my Edge at the beginning of 2009, was a demo with 9000 miles, to this date i just went over 52000 miles. Knock on wood ive had very little problems with the vehicle, mechanically or electronically. the rear tail lights burn out unusually fast, should have a recall on this. the sockets appear scorched. other than that its been basic maintenance on the vehicle. i changed the transmission oil at 50000 miles just to be safe. I also change the oil every 4000 miles with full synthetic mobil 1. the oil still looks good after 4000 miles! the front end seems to be riding hard as of late but it may need some gas struts replaced, most of my miles are city driving and joy riding

  • Driving in the Edge - 2015 Ford Edge
    By -

I test drove the Edge and loved it right away. I have the SEL V6 and most of the packages. I test drove a Toyota Highlander but it was noisier and I did not like the steering feel. I wanted to test a V6 Outback but there were none within 75 miles. This is my first vehicle with electronic steering and I liked it better than a CRV that I drove. The vehicle is quiet, smooth, comfortable and has plenty of headroom (Im 6-02). I cant rate reliability. Ive owned four Fords with no major problems. The Edge drives like a heavier sports car with a nice solid feel. Ford has stepped up their game when it comes to refinement.

  • Review for anyone tall - 2013 Ford Edge
    By -

If youre a tall person and in the market for a crossover, give the Ford Edge a serious look. Im 65 220# and have plenty of room in all directions. The driver seat has many settings for your comfort. Now for the rest, I never thought Id buy a Ford but I love this vehicle. The V6 really moves and looks great while doing it. The ride is smooth and quiet. The sound system is crisp and clear. I dont have a phone with Bluetooth but Sync works really good with my i-touch. My only complaint so far is the transmission. It really doesnt like 2nd gear and reading other reviews it seems to be a known issue with the Edge. Highly recommend this vehicle especially if youre tall.
