Model Overview:

Crossovers with carlike ride and handling characteristics are perennially popular, and a good example of the breed is the smart-looking Ford Edge. It's a midsize crossover with seating for five. Thanks to its roomy interior, long list of amenities and available all-wheel drive, it's typically a good match for small- and medium-size families seeking a do-it-all utility vehicle.

In road tests, our editors have praised the Edge's quiet ride and advanced features like the MyFord Touch electronics interface, though as with most modern, in-car technology, there's a learning curve. Additionally, Ford offers a range of different engines in the Edge to appeal to crossover buyers seeking performance, fuel economy or a balance of both. Although the Ford Edge might not appeal to bigger families in need of high passenger capacity, it's a solid contender in most other respects.

  • 2011 Ford Edge Sport-Fun to Drive - 2011 Ford Edge

What a great car. I was torn between a 2010 with $4,000 to $5,000 of rebates but none available. So I bought the 2011 Sport loaded with all but rear DVD. Its great looking in Tuxedo Black and fun to drive. Getting about 23 mpg on the highway at 70 mph. Should get about 25 mpg at 55 to 60 mph I am told.

I just purchased my 2011 Ford Edge Sport AWD in Tuxedo Black! I love this SUV and its so sweet! All of the features are awesome and somewhat overwhelming, but really cool. The SUV handles well and is smooth on pretty much all surfaces. I live in Michigan and the roads are not that good. I would recommend that everyone test drive a Ford. I did and I bought one!

  • Happy Edge Owner - 2010 Ford Edge

After having a bad experience purchasing a pre-owned vehicle in Wayne a few years back I was extremely cautious about purchasing a new vehicle, but Rt. 23 Ford put all my worries to rest. I happily purchased a new Edge truck, which I knew rather little about, other than what the commercials told me. Turns out, I absolutely love it. Its everything my sales person told me it would be. It has great mileage and itÂ’s such a dream to drive. I received top notch service, and a great monthly price for my lease. All of the staff that worked with me to get what I wanted were sincere and honest. I have no problem with them gaining a profit because they truly earned it.

The title speaks for itself. i love this car. I leased my 2011 edge sport last week. i have all the options on it except for rear seat DVD players. I love everything about it. I get stopped 2 or 3 times a day by other drivers asking about this car. i have had bmw, mercedes, infinit, audi, lexus. none of them compare to this car. go drive one and youll know what i am talking about.

  • Superior to my 07 Highlander - 2010 Ford Edge

Traded in my 07 Toyota Highlander in May 2010. Just turned 6,000 mi. This EDGE has more power, excellent ride & much better on fuel(26 hwy/21 around town) and good looks. With all the rebates & dealing 23,200 before trade in. Glad to be back buying AMERICAN. Ford has a winner here.

  • Very Happy Thus Far - 2011 Ford Edge
    By -

Ive purchased Toyotas in the past 15 years and decided to try the Ford Edge. I am very happy with my purchase thus far. Purchased the FWD Limited with the 302A package. The vehicle provides many amenities that you cant get in a Toyota. Build quality seems great. I encourage you to test drive one. If you opt to purchase one, DO NOT purchase the cargo cover. Its laughable (poorly designed).

  • Ford Listens - 2011 Ford Edge

I purchased my first Ford in 2007, a fully loaded edge. Only complaint I had was interior. I just got my 2011 and all I can say is WOW! The car is stunning (20 inch wheels). Many people stare and come see it when I am parked. The interior and technology is top rate! I feel like I am driving a $60k car. With the rebates I paid less than I did in 2007. The ride feels like my friends X5, really tight and crisp and the brakes are stronger than my last one. Anybody shopping for a CUV please go try a 2011 Edge, it is unbelievable.

  • Even better than my Fusion! - 2010 Ford Edge

The ride and fuel economy are just what I expected from a midsized SUV. The "sunroof" is awesome and with the Limited Pkg. the options are plentiful and nice to have.

We have 46,000 km and have had problems since picking it up with transmission and we find out today a sensor is being replaced already good that it is under warranty.

  • The Cutting Edge - 2010 Ford Edge

We just love this car in every way. It is so comfortable to drive and responds amazingly well! Just to shut the solid doors is a treat. It just feels so stable and well built! We trade in a Lexus IS250 for the Edge because we needed more room and we are not sorry!
