  • 100K and still going. - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

We bought this car because of its reliability reputation. We bought it new. We just turned 100K miles and have had no major problems. New battery at 3 yrs. New brakes and tires at about 86K miles. Thats it. We still get just over 30 mpg on the highway with one passenger, full trunk and A/C on. The front seats could be more comfortable and we really dont like the throttle-by-wire system. The excessive lag can be dangerous if you are not planning for it. Also, the five speed trans sometimes hunts between 1-2-3 resulting in a sudden downshift with a clunk or an up shift and surge. The readouts for the radio and temp controls are hard to read in sunlight.

  • Its Like Driving A Cloud - 2003 Toyota Camry

I went from an ergonomically incorrect 1993 Tercel to a 2003 Camry with full leather package. It is genuinely like driving a cloud. The turn signal is nearly silent, and the interior cabin, when at rest, is so quiet I can hear myself blinking. If you prefer a car wherein you like to do everything yourself - crank the window open, yank the emergency brake, twist and turn knobs, and feel like *you* are in control of the car, dont buy this model. This car drives you. If youre longing for a car that does everything for you, politely, quietly and without complaint, buy this model.

  • Good Car, Great Value - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

This is a great car. It is very reliable and has low cost maintenance. Great for a family or a single person. I purchased my car used and it was the best car purchase. I sold it at 93,000 miles but it is still a great car with a lot of life left. I also learned the resale value is great which was another bonus.

  • Pings - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

My 2003 Camry has been good. The Ride is nice, its comfortable and roomy but I get a pinging type sound when I accelarate. You can only hear it when the drivers side window is open not inside the car. It doesnt effect accelation but the noise is annoying and I dont know what it could mean down the road. Ive been to two dealership who agree there is a noise or pinging type sound but dont know what to do about it. I would be curious if any one else hears this noise on their 2003 Camrys

  • Demand this car - 2003 Toyota Camry

I test drove many Camrys . . . all good quality. I would have bought sooner, but the Camrys you find with a good deal sell too quickly. Not only that, but some dealerships have jerks for managers. It was a hassle to find a good deal, but the car is worth it. Its good all around, dont expect sport, young or hipness, but very smart and sensible.

  • Great car, except for seats - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

Love the car, except for the seat issue. Back half of seat is soft. Front half of seat is hard, as it has a flat metal piece under it. There is a lot of pressure at the transition which cuts off the blood circulation.

  • Why Buy A Lexus ES-300??????? - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

Great all around car. Comfort and style. Not to mention the gas mileage. I have been getting about 500+ mile out of the 17gal tank. ONLY USE PREMIUM GAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love my car - 2003 Toyota Camry

Luxury car at a reasonable price. Only complaint--23 mpg in town, though its rated about 29. Cant figure out why.

  • Great car to own - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

I really like my Camry. But we had to replace the intake manifold. Other than that it has been a great car ro own and drive. Roomy with good sound system, because music in my car is mandatory.

  • JBL Premium Stereo System - 2003 Toyota Camry
    By -

Please do not fall for that "JBL Premium Stereo" which comes standard on the XLE model, and can be add as an option on the LE. They are the worse sound system you could find. Theres nothing premium about it. 8 Speakers that Toyota claims locate at 6 locations, funny I couldnt come up with 8 at all. They intentionally make this as a gimmicks. In conclusion: XLE HAS (VERY, VERY) BAD SOUND SYSTEM. IT DOES NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY. If you picked LE model, save money and go out and install a better sound system. DO NOT choose JBL Premium sound system. Youll be glad you did not chose. I guranteed it.
