One of my best cars ever! - 2003 Toyota Camry
By buffgirl23 - April 6 - 10:00 amBought my Camry new which replaced my 1989 Camry. Reliable? You bet! Only routine maintenance performed (oil change, new tires, etc.) Still runs like a dream; smooth acceleration, quick pick-up. I intend on running this vehicle into the ground!

Minor criticisms - 2003 Toyota Camry
By WBM - January 29 - 2:00 amHave had a 2003 Camry XLE 4-cylinder for about 2 months. Overall, the car is excellent. Minor criticisms: (1) The drivers side power windows switch with the express down/up feature is very touchy, difficult to modulate the switch if you just want to partially open the drivers side window; (2) why Toyota installed V rated (149 mph) high performance tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE92) on a 4-cyl Camry is beyond me. This a lousy winter tire. Had to purchase snow tires; (3) seat bottoms could be larger; (4) the location of the trunk cargo net interfers with loading packages into the trunk that are too large for the cargo net.

99 Camry was better! - 2003 Toyota Camry
By Cantatrice - January 13 - 10:00 amLoved my 99 LE Camry, but the 03 XLE 4cyl is very stodgy at low speeds - like its stuck in 2nd, or has turbo lag - Great at high speeds on the interstate, but not fun to drive around town, as it drags and then surges at every stoplight. Drivers auto up-down window will NOT stop to open at increments! Interior right rear rattle, over rough pavement due to strut problem. After only 400 miles, I would trade it in, but cant cope with more car buying hassle. Paid too much for this car!

Great Car - 2003 Toyota Camry
By Marty - November 27 - 7:40 amAt first I must admit that i wasnt too fond of this car since it was more popular to have a small sport compact cars. But i am glad that i did stick with the Camry. The cabin space is unbelievable and the trunk space is great! I love the handling and braking.

Good family car - 2003 Toyota Camry
By family dude - October 27 - 5:56 pmFor the price, you cant beat the ride. Taken the car to its limit (about 120, really) and it was as if I was going 70. The handling isnt sporty, but its still precise and very predictable. I dont find that it floats (like a new Buick I recently drove), maybe just too isolated from the road. LE came with horrible Continental tires, which screamed around any turn. Got Michelins and the Camry cornered far better. Had some issues just recently with repairs. At over 95,000 miles, all the engine mounts had to be replaced. Big dollars. But recently had the tires balanced and rotated as well the alignment redone. Car rides great again. A great used car if thats what you are looking for.

Six Months Out - 2003 Toyota Camry
By Camry Times 2 - July 26 - 10:00 amWaited 6 months to provide feedback on my new Camry so as to give a balanced appraisal. Without a doubt there have been No problems, No suprises. This is a solid, reliable and quiet "appliance". This is my second Camry (bought a used 97 a year ago and liked it so much I bought a new Camry). I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good car that will go the distance.

Jack of all trades... - 2003 Toyota Camry
By jdmcderm - June 13 - 10:00 amThis car does a lot of things very well. Its stylish, roomy and has an impressive list of standard features for a base model. The ride is very comfortable, but not particularly involving. Ive owned several Hondas and considered the Accord, but felt that the interior material quality was inferior for Honda and the styling was bland. It was, however, more fun to drive than the Camry, especially in a V- 6. Also consdered the BMW 325i which was too small to be practical for 4-5 adults. All things considered, Im happy with they Camry, but the BMW will be at the top of my list next time around
