Overview & Reviews
One of America's favorite cars is all new this year. Design goals for the 2002 Toyota Camry included larger interior packaging, reduced noise, more advanced safety features, better driving dynamics and, of course, a new standard of value.
- Roomy, powerful engines, plenty of safety and luxury features.
- High prices for XLE, costly premium features.

Two Times Disapointed - 2002 Toyota Camry
By dickwillie - July 16 - 7:13 amI bought a Camry for its reputed quality. I was sadly disapointed. I bought this car new and have had numerous mechanical problems. First the back tires were chewed up within the first 7000 miles. Then the brakes developed a terrible shimmy when applied. Next the computer freezes the the electronic dashboard displays locking out all electronic systems, e.g., ABS, airbags, traction control. Next the transmission is failing. You might think this is a fluke, but I also owned a 1999 Camry that had may of the same problems. I thought that car was a fluke. I will not by another Toyota. If I am going to have problems with a car it will be an American car.

It is my mistress - 2002 Toyota Camry
By Taadow976 - May 27 - 2:00 amI love my Camry so much that my wife considers her the other woman. She is washed weekly and fully detailed monthly. I drive her everyday everywhere and she is extremely reliable. The only drawback is that she is a summer car. In the winter her high performance tires need to be changed when ever there is call for snow and my original equipment Bridgestones only gave me a good 23000 miles. (I am a very aggressive driver)

Camry SE sedan - 2002 Toyota Camry
By Stan Fiega - April 26 - 10:00 amCar rides great and handles fine with the sport suspension and V6. Seems to be a good value after comparing many other cars both foreign and domestic. Very quite on the road.

Camry SE - 2002 Toyota Camry
By Jessie42275 - March 21 - 10:00 amThis vehicle has it all. Good looks, good ride, and best all Toyota reliability. I can say i drove alot out there and almost settled for a taurus but the the new Camry come along and changed all that. The ride is a little on the firm side but it is the sport model and bang for buck it by far beat the rest.

Camry very comfy - 2002 Toyota Camry
By rraadd - March 16 - 2:00 amVery smooth riding car and quiet for this size and price range. Seats and roominess are very comfortable. Shifting is smooth, although acceleration for the 2.4L is not that great, but adequate nonetheless. AC works fine, although Toyota (as well as many other brands) has to get a clue about heating. As anybody knows, hot air rises; thus, put heating vents as low to the floor as possible. I find that no matter how hot and heavy I run the heater, my feet remain cold while my upper body burns up. Fortunately, I dont live in a really cold place like Minnesota.

this 4 cyl rocks!! - 2002 Toyota Camry
By wario76 - March 15 - 10:00 amI first drove all kinds of cars includig, honda accord, altima, taurus, and none compares to my 2002 camry. It drives so smooth, its very quite inside the car. The altima is faster but i chose the camry, even though im 23 and love speed. Dont pay any attention to people who talk bad about this car. They probably havent even driven one.
