The LX model is now available with a sport package that includes a new five-speed manual transmission, side step bars, Michelin tires, alloy wheels, roof rack, leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry. A two-tone gray interior color scheme is also new, and metallic interior accents replace last year's wood grain accents.

By punkin72977 - December 29 - 2:00 amI thought it would be a big change from driving a car at first it was but it handles great. The gas mileage could be better but what do you expect these days nothing gets as good gas mileage as it used to.

By Toya - December 24 - 10:00 amSeveral people have told me not to buy a Kia, and for awhile I took their advice. Well, I was looking for a SUV and wanted to trade in my Ford Focus. I test drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Ford Escape and The Sorento. I was not planning on buying a Kia, but by riding by and stopping just to give it a try. I Fell In Love with it and drove it home the same day. I would like to give some advise of my own. Go buy a Kia if not go test drive one

ITS A KIA - 2004 Kia Sorento
By Jadkisson - September 30 - 10:00 amA lot of people come up to me and ask me questions about this vehicle and I tell them that its a KIA and they look at it and are very surprised of what it has to offer. I have 5000 miles and have had problems already with the truck. It has turned off on me while driving, the ABS brake lights have come on 4 times and the engine light has come on. I know people that have the same car as me and they have had no problems. I really like this car but I think there are Lemons everywhere. When my friends drive it they are surprised at how well it drives and how smooth that it operates. It also looks very stylish on the outside as well as the inside.

04 5 speed LX Sorento - 2004 Kia Sorento
By SAABRento - September 16 - 9:00 amGreat SUV. The SE (RARE) 5 speed LX model has been nothing but a pleasure. The 3.5 Hyundai V-6 is powerful and has plenty of torque. The SUV is very quiet and has a solid ride. The controls are easy to find and the radio has the power of an aftermarket. The brushed ally interior is a $200 option and is stock on my model along with nerfbars and fog lights. The model I have has a limited slip differential rearend that in 4x4 is nothing but unstoppable.

Im Pleased Overall - 2004 Kia Sorento
By John Schleifer - September 7 - 3:56 pmI"ve had the car for over 5 years now. I wanted to get quality and resale. However, the resale and problems are not that must different than American cars which Ive always purchased. Not too many problems, but, as usual, when taking the car in for the minor problems, under warranty, they "cannot duplicate condition." However, now that my warranty has expired, they seem to find the issues ricght away when Im paying for the repairs. Go figure. Probably my last Kia. Problems included: leaking radiator overflow tank, Air-Bag light, outdoor temperature guage (ner repaired by the way). Gas Miliage is terrible. My wifes Cheyy Avalanche gets better miliage!

Sorento vs Lexus - 2004 Kia Sorento
By El Fiebru - August 22 - 2:00 amI am very happy with the Kia Sorento that I recently purchased. Is a great vehicle, in my opinion we can compare this with a Lexus but better price!! Great performance and value, the Koreans should be happy with this product. The only problem is that dealers are in need of more familiarization with Korean products, specialy after market parts or accessories! Overall the Sorento is a great buy!!!

Great Value, Safe, minor inssues - 2004 Kia Sorento
By sbettencourt21 - May 25 - 8:10 pmI have had my Sorento for almost 2 years now and it has been very reliable I have had a couple problems with sensors which were covered under warranty. I feel I got a great deal on the car and I feel extremely safe in it with my children. Repairs I have had to pay for were very low cost such as lights which have to be replaced on any car. The 4wd works great in the snow on steep hills I have never been happier with a vehicle and there is plenty of leg room for my height. however back seat would be a tight squeeze for 3. We currently only fit 2 car seats

Kia did this one right - 2004 Kia Sorento
By jasonc - May 18 - 10:00 amDrive one of these before you buy another SUV. I researched cars (including this one) for 5 months before buying, and I fell in love with this one as soon as I drove it. Its affordable price and warranty makes it even more attractive. Jeep Liberty and Ford Escape dont even come close to this vehicle. It has good power but Id like to see future versions add some h/p and improve the fuel economy. The bumps in the road are more noticable in this car but its really not that bad. Great SUV for a great price.
