The LX model is now available with a sport package that includes a new five-speed manual transmission, side step bars, Michelin tires, alloy wheels, roof rack, leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry. A two-tone gray interior color scheme is also new, and metallic interior accents replace last year's wood grain accents.

  Kia Problem - 2004 Kia Sorento

  Bought the KIA Sorento two weeks ago. Have less than 700 miles on it. It is in service to have the whole rear axle, differential and housing replaced. The rear differential was half full of old fluid and metal fragments. This produced a h*ll of a vibration. The axle housing is going to KIA for analysis. No problems with the dealer. They have been very nice, but problems definitely with the vehicle. Hope this is not a prediction of things to come.

  When I saw ,KIA, I was amazed. I could not believe this was a KIA. The design and style of the Sorrento is striking. Needless to say, I am still impressed by the ride and amazed at the sticker price. I am attracted by the warranty, offer of Lifetime tire replacement, free oil changes for three years and far more features than any other SUV in this price range. I think that the LX in black is much prettier than the EX in black. But, the only way to have the options I wanted was to purchase the EX. You will not be dissapointed if you choose to purchase one.

  Great except for headlights - 2004 Kia Sorento

  I have 78K miles on my 2004 Sorento. I have had great luck with the engine and original brakes and tires both lasted 75K miles. But I have replaced front headlights 9 times. Different bulb types, with gloves on, both at the same time, but they never last more than 6 months. Frustrating!!

  After all the bad things Ive heard about Kia, I cant believe the Sorento is this good! I show off my Kia as much as I can, because this is a solid truck, as good as anything Honda, Toyota or any of the other market leaders can muster up! My truck is loaded, but I tell my friends get the base Sorento… Great truck for short money! Of course, the money you save goes towards gas, but you cant have it all…

  If you off-road, this is fun fun fun. Very little problem. 70000mi strong and it seems to get better. Left me stranded once but KIA had a tow vehicle to help within 30 min. (crank position sensor broke). It is very strong in 4wd low - wow. I can drive with the big boys no problem. Wish there were performance parts available.

  Bought this SUV after reviewing it online for 3 months. I give it pretty good marks for for its head turning looks. Superior rating for its endless list of standard features esp the EX model that I bought. Best of all, I couldnt have done much better at $24000 at 0% financing for 6 years. Definitely a lot of bang for the bucks. Believe me, I test drove the Highlander, the Tribute and the Jeep Liberty. They come nowhere close to the Sorento in build and features.

  ALMOST IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASING OUR KIA SORENTO WE WERE HIT WITH HEAVY SNOWS (11-13").THE FULL TIME 4WD ENABLED US TO TRAVEL EASILY ON UNPLOWED SIDE STREETS AND GET IN AND OUT OF PLOWED-IN DRIVEWAYS. ENJOYED DEEP SNOW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS. FROM THE DAY WE TOOK DELIVERY (O1-2003) EVERYTHING WORKED EXACTLY AS SUPPOSED TO.IN MY OPINION THE KIA IS ONE OF THE BEST KEPT SECRETS AROUND.

  Had my Sorento since January and had to travel between NY and NC several times and love my Kia. It is comfortable and has the power I was looking for in an SUV. Feels solid and rides smooth for highway driving yet fun to do off roading also. Highley recommend looking at this SUV if you dont mind the gas mileage is the only draw back.
