The LX model is now available with a sport package that includes a new five-speed manual transmission, side step bars, Michelin tires, alloy wheels, roof rack, leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless entry. A two-tone gray interior color scheme is also new, and metallic interior accents replace last year's wood grain accents.

  Overall, we love it - looks great and fits our needs forthe price. A sturdy well built excellent warranty vehicle. If in the market, these are better than Fords or Chevys any day !!!

  This is an outstanding vehicle. However, I didnt realize when I bought it that the mileage would be so ridiculously low. It seems like they should have had a freeway driving gear, as most of my miles are done on the highway and my mileage is still averaging 15.5 mpg. How can a V6 Vehicle get the same mileage as a full size V8 suv? Regardless of this, the car is superb and is a great value at purchase time. With gas at $2.25 per gallon, it is difficult to stomach the mileage. I also think the car is a little bumpy when you drive about 60mph on the freeway. Other than that, the car looks great and has nice features.

  Granted we only drive 7500 miles per year, but we have been very happy with our Sorento. In 4 years, only one warranty item - a piece of rubber molding in the passenger door. Pretty poor gas mileage, but we knew that when we bought it. The only other complaint is that the sheet metal seems "thin" - very easy to get dings. It is just the right size, lots of features, comfortable...and for us, bullet-proof reliable.

  Bought it after reading reviews and I need a true 4 wheel drive for snow and mud. Really like the ride, and support from KIA.

  Purchase a 2004 Sorento, used from Kia of Santa Ana, CA. The dealer was great. No pressure, no hassles. Did everything I asked before taking the truck. Everything except the mileage is good to go. Nice style, quite ride, although a bit rough at time in the back seats. Several before paid off but if a few things improve (see suggested improvements), I will purchase another Sorento when the time comes.

  We compared other midsize SUVs but found the Sorento to have all the same features as the more commonly known brand SUVs in the USA, but for about $5,000 less.

  VERY SPORTY AND WAS VERY GOOD OFF ROAD ON SIX INCHES OF SNOW IN THE WOODS. I HAD A BLASTS SHOWING THE WIFE WHAT REAL FOUR WHEEL DRIVE COULD DO! HOPEFULLY THE CAR WILL LAST AFTER THE WIFE IS THROUGH WITH AND ITS MINE.

  I just purchased an 04 Sorento EX w/ 105k on it. After reading about fuel mileage, we almost took our other vehicle on our day trip Saturday. 309 miles, mostly highway, cruise control at 75, w/ several stops, I still managed to get 20.5 mpgs. So, while 2 mpgs arent much, I am sure that I could have got 22-23 had I kept speed at 65-70. Way better then the 18 from review.
