  • BETTER THAN RAV4 - 2003 Honda CR-V

This is our 3rd SUV purchase (2 rav 4 prior to this CRV. We are very happy with the vehicle and find that it has many advantages over the Toyota Rav 4. Much more pep More room and compartments inside Much quieter engine More amenities Seems to be a fun car to drive with many comfort/safety features. More for your money than Rav 4

  • Beware of A/C Compressor Issues - 2003 Honda CR-V
    By -

We owned this car for a little over 2 years and it was definitely a great car overall EXCEPT for the A/C compressor issues. The compressor blew not once, BUT TWICE on us within a 6-month period and the car only has 62,000 miles on it! Honda would NOT help us out with goodwill assistance and insisted its not a known issue (do an internet search and youll find thats NOT true). If you get one without A/C issues then it would probably still be a great car to own - very practical.

  • Nothing better for the money - 2003 Honda CR-V

We are verry happy with this SUV. I wouldnt really consider this a mini-SUV as Edmunds likes to clasify it. The interior dimensions compare well to many other "mid-sized" SUVs. The 160HP engine is more than enough to get around town. Acceleration is good. Not really the SUV you want if you need to tow a boat but we have a truck for that purpose.

  • Honda, What else do you need to know? - 2003 Honda CR-V

This is our 2nd CR-V, so we went with all the bells and whistles. Added side cladding on the silver and moonvisor, plus hood air deflector. Sharp!!!!! I would recommend this SUV to anyone looking for a great, long lasting, trouble free SUV.

  • A Satisfied Owner - 2003 Honda CR-V

In 5 years and 140k miles, I have had no mechanical problems with this car. In that sense, Im very pleased with its reliability. The exterior design is nothing to go crazy over. I have the roof rack which is not very useful when you need to tie something down to it, but was necessary for installing a roof carrier when camping. As for the interior, I do like the fact that the moonroof does not eat up a bunch of headroom, and the split rear seats allow for a lot of storage in the back. I also like the foldup table. I dont understand how people can get 25 - 27 mpg in their CR-V. I have yet to get over 22, which is my biggest complaint along with the lack of power of the engine.

  • Reliable Car so far... - 2003 Honda CR-V

I bought my CRV (with sun roof and 6 CD player) in 2003 and havent had any major issues. Runs well, reliable car, great going to the Mt for skiing, drives well in the interior/hot weather. All in all, a good car.

  • CRV is Perfect for Us - 2003 Honda CR-V

We have only owned the car 3 months, but it is a delight to drive, economical (28MPG highway), well- engineered and comfortable inside.

  • So Far So Good - 2003 Honda CR-V

Purchased this vehicle brand new. Wish it had a little more room in back seat. No major problems so far. Only problems experienced are door actuator on drivers door quit working and now key does not want to fit in door sometimes. Also, sometimes wont start, have to remove key and put in opposite way? Gets GREAT gas mileage though. So far, very dependable.

I absolutely just love my CR-V! I totaled my 2000 CR-V back in April (negligence on the other side). I had 186,000 miles on my vehicle. I immediately started looking for another CR-V. I found a 2005, and a 2003. Went with the 2003, it only had 42k miles on it. I do not care for the new CR-Vs and know I will not buy one of that style in the future. No regulated spare tire, only a donut. No picnic table (cmon guys, this was what the CR-V was known for when it first came out). It is time to rethink the CR-V features that we CR-V owners have been know to love so much.

I have had this car now for a week and I have found it to be outstanding in the ice and snow. The AWD and ABS really made a difference with the EX model. The 6-CD changer in dash is a great feature and my passengers have plenty of room to stretch out in the back or recline the seats. I bought through the internet fleet dealer and saved over $1000 below Edmunds TMV!
