Best Car Ive Ever Owned - 2003 Honda CR-V
By B8004 - October 27 - 10:00 amThis is very reliable and its fun to drive just for the fun of it. It doesnt feel too lightweight like those other small SUVs. They feel like if you went over 50 MPH theyd fall apart. This SUV feels sturdy and it looks good. It looks so small on the outside but when you sit inside its roomy. It is very comfortable, its a Honda, a big name in reliability. If this were a Ford it would have already hit the shop more than a few times. No problems yet. It doesnt suck up gas as fast as other SUVs but just a little more than Civic. I love the vehicle, this is the first reliable car Ive ever had. Honda always outdo themselves and the competition every time.

safety after crash totaling my CRV - 2003 Honda CR-V
By ahakooz - October 27 - 10:00 amI just wanted to say that my CRV was the only car I was in an accident with. I rear ended a lady at 60 mph when her brake lights didnt work and I hadnt realized she was standing still. My CRV was totaled..but except for the airbags that deployed, You would never have known it from the inside. Now the outside was a different story...but the safety factor is incredible. I walked out .. dazed by the airbag..but unhurt. I did have some seatbelt bruizing to my chest... but thats it. Im on my 5th Honda now.. I have an Accord coupe, and Ill keep going back for more.

3 yrs and counting... - 2003 Honda CR-V
By esteeze - October 26 - 4:14 pmHave had my CR-V for 3 years now, and it has generally been an excellent vehicle. It is used mostly for daily work commuting (about 25 miles round trip), in a hilly, city environment. Also used as 2nd vehicle to carry our 3 kids, and for carrying tailgating equipment (during football season... Roll Tide!).

Less enthusiastic after 3.5 years - 2003 Honda CR-V
By ajchien - September 13 - 6:41 pmWhen first purchased, I experienced the PTTR issue. I had to tell the dealership about the TSB that was available to fix it. After the TSB, the PTTR was gone, and has been done for the next 50k+ miles. Now at 50k+ miles @ 3.5 years, the dreadful, well known on many websites (search for it), air conditioning failure occured. Total cost was $2840. American Honda decided to goodwill $2000 of the cost. It is still disappointing, becuase there really is no definite fix to the AC failure and it could happen again. The AC should not be a wear & tear item. There have been 3 actual safety recalls on the vehicle.

Love it! - 2003 Honda CR-V
By K W Salisbury - August 18 - 4:33 pmThe only way I give up my crv is for a new crv. Id like to go up to the ex model, but like to keep this one for my daughter when she is able to drive cause of the ease and safety. So I got three more years! If you got a small family (4), it beats all the competition hands down, and I previewed and test drove them all.

Great, except for the air conditioning! - 2003 Honda CR-V
By graphicdavid - August 10 - 12:50 amWeve had our CR-V for three years. Its a great car generally, but it is now at the dealer for the second replacement of the air conditioning system. First time, it just quit working at 37,000 miles. Honda covered it for us under the original warranty. This time, at 56,000 miles, the compressor started growling. The $2000 repair will be covered by our extended warranty. Not sure Ill buy a Honda next time out....

I Love My CR-V - 2003 Honda CR-V
By Cass - August 9 - 7:46 amI bought this car after my first car was totaled in an accident and am absolutely in love with it. I bought a 2003 with a little under 150,000 miles on it and in the past two years I have put right around 30,000 miles on it and its held up way better than I expected. I get suprisingly good gas milage for an SUV averaging around 25 MPG and sometimes getting as many as 27 miles to the gallon. Its extrememly reliable and handles great in the snow and is easy to judge. My only issue with the car is the A/C went out last fall and was estimated at over $1,000 to repair. I decided it wasnt worth it so I just roll the windows down in the summer. But overall, I love my car and am going to be sad when I see it go which is hopefully many years down the road.
