Overview & Reviews
Although the Toyota Camry sedan is all-new this year, the 2007 Toyota Camry Solara remains largely unchanged mechanically. However, there are a few notable changes. The front and rear of the car have been restyled and LED taillamps and optional HID xenon headlights have been added. Inside, the car gets a new MP3 CD and satellite radio-capable stereo plus the expected auxiliary jack for connecting hand-held digital music players. Bluetooth wireless phone connectivity is new for 2007, as is voice activation for the optional navigation system. More safety features are also standard equipment this year, including a tire-pressure monitor, front side airbags and, for the coupe, side-curtain airbags. Engine power ratings have been revised due to new testing procedures, but actual performance is unaffected. Finally, the Solara Sport trim (previously called the SE Sport) gets an exclusive wheel design and is newly available on the convertible body style.
- Excellent build quality, smooth V6, reasonably priced considering its luxury.
- Lackluster styling, no manual transmission available on V6 models.

Cant go wrong! Its my 2nd Solara. - 2007 Toyota Camry Solara
By Christi - November 5 - 11:20 pmThere isnt a better car available that exudes luxury and sport. It turns heads every day and is often confused with a Lexus. It does not have the Mustangs get-up (but is that really necessary anyway?), nor does it have the Lexus price-tag (but it still comes with most of the goodies). Its handling is smooth, the ride is velvety and the engine is near silent when running. Granted, its price is a wee bit on the high end, but keep in mind that just comes with the territory when you buy something as reliable, safe and with excellent re-sale value as a Toyota.

From Buick to Toyota - 2007 Toyota Camry Solara
By Yolee - August 26 - 2:00 amMy husband was tired of working on our GM vehicles so we decided to give Toyota a try (time will tell). So far I love it! He wanted an Accord, I didnt care for the bumpy ride. The Solara is beautifully smooth (like buttah). I love the car! The interior is classy, does look like a Lexus, love everything about it. Learning to use the navigation system, very cool. The exterior is nice, love the pearl white color. Were averaging over 29 MPG, not bad for a V6 (live out in the country). Will post another update in a few years, but hoping the constant "working on fixing something on the car days" are over.

Fun Car - 2007 Toyota Camry Solara
By Bob - April 15 - 2:16 amI had my choices narrowed down to a Camry XLE four cylinder and the six cylinder Solara Sport. The dealer was offering them both at the same price and I was leaning towards the Camry in my head and the Solara in my heart. I could not go wrong either way. Ive had the Solara for a month LOVE it! The ride and handling are great and I really like the looks both inside and out. The power is great, but I also dont mind the DC rush hours when it is stop and go. I will recommend the car to anybody who asks.

Camry Solara Sport - 2007 Toyota Camry Solara
By Torres - February 13 - 5:40 pmThe Solara V-6 is a very efficient vehicle providing approximate 36 miles per gallon. At this time, after replacing the air filter for a high flow filter I am getting about 400 miles per tank of fuel on the highway. Yes it is a 3.3 V-6! The vehicle has enough power for a mid size and is very comfortable for a two door, two adults fit on the rear seats without compromising comfort.

Love This Car - 2007 Toyota Camry Solara
By Calif. Sunshine - December 18 - 3:10 amBought this brand new two weeks ago, and boy what fun! I love to go topless, yet cannot believe how quiet it is when the top is up! Its so much fun to drive and handles so well. It took me months to find one though and I had about given up looking. I hear it is being discontinued? What a shame, as the SLE model just doesnt have the "sporty" look to it. If you can find one - buy it quick. I may be 60 but I still want the "sporty" look - and this one has it!

2007 Toyota Camry Solara SLE convertible - 2007 Toyota Camry Solara
By Metsgar Farms Inc. - November 13 - 11:40 pmI purchased the vehicle in August 2006 and have been very pleased with it overall. I agree with others that it would be nice if you could see behind you a little better, but after all this is a convertible. I have owned several Toyotas and their construction and performance has always been excellent. The only problem I have had is that on rough roads the brake pedal rattles a little and at times it is difficult to start. But I am sure that after I take it in to a dealer they can solve the problem.

07 Solara Convertible - 2007 Toyota Camry Solara
By 95flhtcu - September 26 - 10:10 amOverall this is a very good car. Acceleration is very good. the interior is Lexus like quality. With the top up, its almost like any sedan. there is some body shudder but only under unusual circumstances. The switch for the top is in a VERY bad place and isnt lighted. Same for the "all up" window switch. There is only one power outlet thats useful, the other is in the bottom of the console. rear window pillars are huge, making backing out of a parking spot an adventure. The trunk is actually useful.

Excellent Car - 2007 Toyota Camry Solara
By ardalan2003 - September 16 - 1:56 amI was in the market for a hybrid car. Toyota Camry seemed a good choice, but with long waiting list and more importantly poor acceleration, I changed my mind. As soon as I saw the 2007 Solara, I knew that I wanted this car. It is very stylish, powerful and comes with features that anyone would love. It is a very fun to drive car and you dont see too many of these cars around either. The price is certainly better than the other competitors. I love this car.
