MY new 2014 Sonata - 2014 Hyundai Sonata
By kingsnake - September 21 - 11:50 amWe are very happy with our new car. Shortly after we purchased it we drove it on a long trip. We got 34 MPG on the highway at Texas interstate speeds, 75 MPH+, and close to 30 MPG in city driving. We are still getting used to all of the functions it has to offer.

14 Ltd 2.0T with Tech Pkg - 2014 Hyundai Sonata
By mrbeefy65 - July 20 - 9:53 amOther than the very annoying legal disclaimer that comes on every time you start the car, no matter what mode, the Nav is improved over 2013. Sound deadening is improved, but the tires are still too hard and noisy with the 2.0T (most people ditch them as soon as possible). Kind of odd that the Kia Optima has more features similarly equipped...

My last Hyundai...Period! - 2014 Hyundai Sonata
By golfr013 - September 8 - 9:24 pmI purchased a Sonata Hybrid Limited in April of 2013. About a year later, it seemed that an occasional panic stop would cause the car to stop abruptly rather than pulse to a safe stop. After noticing that it seemed to do that each of the few times that I applied the brakes in that manner, I took the car to the dealer, asking them to also check the brakes for a banging noise occurring each time the brakes were applied when coming to a stop sign/light. Many months and service calls later, my VA Lemon Law attorney suggested that I might want to avoid Hyundai or Kia if I ever expected to have my interests considered. I traded in that piece of @)$(*^* as quickly as I could!

Sure is nice. - 2014 Hyundai Sonata
By cravey - May 26 - 3:48 amI picked up a 2014 GLS after several rides in a friends 2013. All the current tech gizmos are there including butt warmers and a hi-res backup camera. The ride is comfortable and secure, handling is very good. Visibility is only average as the seating seems a bit low. The transmission has an "Eco" setting which works great on the highway but is annoying around town; regular mode delivers 25 mpg anyway in a 50/50 mix.

less than satisfied - 2014 Hyundai Sonata
By roscoe103 - September 28 - 3:11 amgas mileage not what was advertised transmission shifts into higher gears at the wrong time. took it back to dealer and was told it is running as designed. that is there standard answer instead of trying to fix it. complained to Hyundai and that was a waste of time. beware of the advertised fuel mileage, although I am sure it is an industry wide problem of not getting what is advertised as far as gas mileage

New 2014 SE 2.0T 1k miles in - 2014 Hyundai Sonata
By nirvana4all - February 13 - 8:12 pmI have had the car now for just under 1k miles. I do not see much difference with the steering wheel comfort/sport settings. At 62" it has plenty of room for me even with the sunroof. Back up camera is good, power is nice, averaging 26 MPG total. Was able to use Boostup website to get additional $500 off for a total cost for the 2014 Premium package SE 2.0T at $26885 before tax, fees, etc. Felt like amazing deal to me.

Uncompromised comfort and refinement - 2014 Hyundai Sonata
By gemigniani1 - October 31 - 4:02 pmI rented a base model with only 300 miles on it. Im a tough reviewer, but this car really impressed me. I loved the dash - Hyundai made the controls very simple and intuitive - so youll never get angry at the car because you cant figure out how to work the climate control, cruise control, etc. At highway speed there is zero wind noise (amazing). The quietness, ride smoothness, comfy seats, cold and powerful AC and the quality look and feel to everything are reminiscent of the 1990s Camrys we all loved. Toyota doesnt make a Camry with uncompromised comfort and refinement anymore so its neat to know the Hyundai does and its called the Sonata

Red Turbo - 2014 Hyundai Sonata
By brianj6 - June 16 - 6:21 pmI purchased a 2014 turbo SE. I wanted a v6 but did not want to spend the gas for the power, so the turbo fits the bill. With 274 horsepower it has plenty of power for merging onto the freeway, passing, and gets a respectable 0-60 time. I am averaging 23 mpg city, and 33 hwy. The car is smoother and quieter than the 2013 gls we have. The backup camera is nice, it take some getting used to if you never had one. I have already used it to help in parallel parking. I like the handling, steering, power, comfort, and style that the Sonata turbo SE has. I highly recommend the Sonata turbo to anyone wanting the power of a v6 but the gas mileage of a 4 banger.
