Overview & Reviews
New for Sienna are two exterior colors and various audio enhancements. All grades feature a standard AM/FM/cassette audio system. XLE models add a CD deck and offer an optional in-dash six-disc changer.
- Camry genes, excellent crash-test ratings, refined powertrain, optional stability control system, available side airbags.
- Dull styling, small size, lacks optimal utility.

2000 sienna LE; had new since 9/00 - 2000 Toyota Sienna
By toddtonis - September 30 - 10:00 amFit and finish of vehicle is good. In 2002, the right sliding door developed a small rattle (something inside door) more just a nuisance. In town gas mileage is bad (around 15 mpg). Highway driving has been excellent (~25- 27 mpg). fabric is holding up well. dunlop tires arent very good for wear as Ill be needing new tire in the next 3K (currently at 45K miles). Changing oil and filter is very easy. Dual A/C works great even on the hottest days. Paint job on car is pretty average with a lot of orange peel in paint job (typical for japanese cars). Im looking at trading it in for the 2004 sienna.

Reliability Issues - 2000 Toyota Sienna
By T - September 25 - 8:03 pmFor a five year old van with relatively low mileage, our Sienna has had some serious reliability issues. In the past 12 months, weve replaced a front axle, transmission, drivers & passenger seat belts, and drivers exterior door handle. Fortunately, our dealer has gone to bat for us and the only out of pocket cost has been the $200 door handle. We also recently found out that we need a new ABS control module ($1800) and the spare tire wench wont lower the spare tire ($160). Theyve declined to cover either of these items, so weve formally appealed to corp. grievance. The first three years we loved the van, the last two have been very disappointing to say the least.

Wonderful but..... - 2000 Toyota Sienna
By thinwishes - July 12 - 2:00 amWe love our 2000 but am disappointed with Toyotas quality. We were always Honda owners and thought Toyota would be just as good. Well the engine is but not the body. Have had problems with the electronic door and interior falling apart. Otherwise great car.

Meets Expectations - 2000 Toyota Sienna
By marcus aurelius - April 12 - 2:00 amWell built, reliable vehicle that meets expectations. Not exciting, and definitely not a style trend setter, but does a lot of things well and provides great value. Never had a single problem in three years of ownership, with lots of family and pets hauling along the way.

Best mini-van on the market! - 2000 Toyota Sienna
By Robert M - November 26 - 3:36 amWe purchased our 2000 Sienna new in March 2000 & it currently has 53,000 miles on it. I have owned numerous cars in the past, new & old, & can honestly say this vehicle is one of the most practical & smooth riding vehicles I have ever had. All 3 rows of seats are like sitting in our most comfortable chair in our living room! It truly rides like a Cadillac, but has the room of a mini-van. My guess is that well soon trade in the 2000 Sienna for another one. Why not give them a try! You wont be disappointed!

It saved our lives - 2000 Toyota Sienna
By bandman - April 18 - 10:00 amI have to say that this van has been a joy to own. It has gone to Florida many times, plus served well as "Moms School Bus". On July 9, 2003 we were in an accident with 4 other vehicles. We were hit from behind. The lady who hit us paniced and pushed us into 4 other vehicles. I have to say that the way this van was built saved our lives. The van had $10,300 in damage, but the passenger cabin was in very good condition after all was said and done. We did have to go to the hospital, and had some serious bumps and bruises, but I feel the body of this van, along with seatbelts, saved our lives.
