  • Fun to Drive - 2000 Toyota Sienna

The Sienna van was our first newly purchased vehicle since we got married in 1987 and it was money well spent. The accessability into the van made it a nice change from having to crawl in and out of the seats. Everything for the driver is at your finger tips and the adaptability to the controls was easy.My wife and I think the gas mileage could be better but for the size of the vehicle and motor it is comprable to other vans.

The van has been great in many areas. GOOD = Easy use of controls for the driver, comfortable seats for long trips, easy to remove rear seats, dual sliding doors. BAD = replaced transmission after 5K miles. Replaced CD player after 10K. Seat belt light stays on even when seat belt is on. Rust on top of car and we garage the van everyday and night. Tires wore out after 20K replaced with better quality Michelin. Overall the van has been good, I would buy another one but get the 6yr warranty.

  • Worst Van Ever - 2000 Toyota Sienna

Our Sienna XLE developed an oil sludge problem despite oil changes every 3200 miles. The oil changes werent made at the dealership, however, so Toyota initially denied warranty. Toyota also denied sludge problem with their engines. We spent thousands in repairs. Fortunately, an honest repairman at another dealership saw to it that we were comped a rebuilt engine. It also was a lemon, and the rebuilt one was replaced by the initial dealership. Nissan gave us $8700 on trade in, and we LOVE our Nissan. After 5 Toyotas and Lexus ... never again.

We got this van new in the year 2000. Right now the cars has 213,000 miles on it, no problems, only oil change and timing belt. Weve used this car in all kinds of conditions, in snow, dirt, and heavy rain. This van has never let us down. We are looking forward to buy a 2011 Toyota Sienna. Thank you Toyota for a reliable mini-van.

  • Sienna worth the price - 2000 Toyota Sienna

I have owned a Toyota Sienna XLE for 2 years now. After 21000 miles weve had no mechanical problems at all. The leather interior still smells like new. The van is extremely comfortable and quiet; I would choose it any day over a standard luxury car. The trade off is performance; its a minivan after all. The V-6 has ample power for accelerating to highway speeds, but youre not going to be going out of your way to drive twisty roads. It seats 7, though, and carries a ton with the seats removed.

  • Sludge - 2000 Toyota Sienna

Well designed interior, but that doesnt make up for the sludge problem that Toyota hid from consumers for several years. We spent $6,000 in repairs on engine because local dealership would not back us up even with demonstrated oil changes per specifications. Finally, Toyota put in a new engine under the warranty -- but the $6,000 in expense, plus a horrible experience with Champion Toyota, has made us never want another Toyota. Its sad, because weve owned 6 Toyotas and 2 Lexus over the years. So much for customer loyalty.

  • A BEST BUY if ever there was one - 2000 Toyota Sienna

Ive owned literally hundreds of vehicles. Ive owned this the longest; purchased with 70k, now have 175k. This has proven to be one of the most comfortable and versatile vehicles I have ever owned and one of the most reliable. It has NEVER let me down. NEVER!!! I dont know if Ill ever be able to part with it because it does everything I ask of it whether hauling people or 25 bags of mulch, or towing a boat. Kids are now grown and my wife says I should sell. I cant bring myself to do so. It really is family...

  • 140K miles and still rockin!!!! - 2000 Toyota Sienna

After 140K miles, this Toyota is still doing great. Have not had any major problems with this van at all. In fact this van gets better gas mileage than any vehicle we have ever driven and owned which includes a 4 cyl PT cruiser!! This vehicle has been in 3 wrecks and still was very affordable to replace the parts that needed replacing. It still looks good too! It drives very well even after the 3 wrecks. Ill keep this van and keep putting money in it to keep it going. It is worth it.

  • Id do it again - 2000 Toyota Sienna

I purchased my 2000 Sienna CE new after buying a used Camry. The Toyota quality is fantastic. I rent mini-vans of all makes with my employment so I was familiar with competing products. I test drove the Sienna and bought it on the spot and took it home to my wife who is thrilled with the car. The ride is very smooth and quiet. We are comfortable and well rested after a long trip. I am currently pricing a new 2002 Sienna to replace this one

  • A minivan thats easy to love. - 2000 Toyota Sienna
    By -

I ordered my Sienna sight-unseen over the internet. I was living in Ft Smith, AR. I had gone into the Toyota dealer there. They werent interested in making a deal and didnt even have a Sienna on the showroom floor. I submitted a search using Autobuytel and the Tulsa, OK dealer contacted me. They offered me a great deal on a Sienna CE. I picked my new Sienna up on a rainy afternoon in late September and immediately fell in love with it on the 95 mile drive home to Ft Smith that day. It handles like a dream. Other feel top-heavy and dont manuver well at speed. You get none of that feel with the Sienna. It sticks to the road like a champ.
