For 2011, the Toyota Sienna has been completely redesigned. Changes include a new entry-level four-cylinder version as well as a sport-tuned (yes, we're serious) SE trim level.

Pros:
  • Smooth and powerful V6, available all-wheel drive, seven- or eight-passenger seating.
Cons:
  • Some lower-grade plastics in cabin, expensive options packages.

  • disapointed in some aspects of the design - 2011 Toyota Sienna

It rained last night. The roof was wet. I needed to roll down the drivers side window to see. The water from the roof poured directly into the car. The controls for the power windows got very wet. To make it worse each window control sits on top of a small well that holds the water and assures that it drains into the window control mechanism. The interior side of the front doors seem flimsy. I am tall and my left knee pushes against the protrusion that holds the window controls. I see it flexing each time my left leg moves. I am concerned that the flimsy plastic that makes up the interior door will eventually crack after repeated exposures to my left leg pushing against it.

  • Wow. What a difference. - 2011 Toyota Sienna

We bought our Sienna as a replacement for our 2005 Honda Odyssey EX-L. Our Honda was a great van, and with a large family (5 kids) it was time to find another mini-van. We looked at the upcoming 2011 Honda Odyssey and felt it was a "step backward" in its design, not very appealing. We liked the way the 2011 Sienna looked and once we test drove it, we knew this was it. At that point it was just a matter of which trim level to buy. Since my wife would only compromise on one color (Blizzard Pearl White), we had to buy the Limited FWD. What Mommy wants, Mommy gets. And I have to keep Mommy happy. If you do the research, you can save A LOT of cash on a purchase. Do your homework!

I love this Sienna; I test drove a KIA Sedona then the Sienna and I am glad that I bought the Sienna. McGeorge Toyota is an awesome dealership.

  • Fun to drive - 2011 Toyota Sienna

My first minivan. I am impressed how fun it is to drive it. Turning radius is unbelievable. Very quiet. It feels just like driving a car.First vehicle I have that the headlights are manual. You either have them ON all time and the Navigation screen is too dark during the day, or have them on DRL so you can see brighter Nav screen during day but have to remember to turn them ON at night. They should make them automatic.

  • Dissapointment - 2011 Toyota Sienna

I am not mechanical at all .So this review is driver experience only .After driving 37,000kms and a year in ,the 2011 Sienna is uncomfortable in the drivers seat .Cheap seats. The design of the tracks that the middle row runs on, is horrible and the seats are so heavy to remove .I am 6ft and 190 lbs 40 yrs old and find it hard to remove the middle row .When you remove the middle row and fold the rear seats becareful not to damage the rails when you put your cargo in . The exterior paint is soft and the windshield is rough when the wipers pass over it on a showery day .Looks good on the outside .Lots of cargo area . The eight passenger will not be happy.Drives nicely and pick up is good

  • Sienna Cruise Control Problem - 2011 Toyota Sienna
    By -

Weve had our Sienna for almost a year now and thoroughly enjoy driving it. The pick up and turning radius are great. I have only two complaints.....Our LXE has everything but the DV D package and YET....No automatic headlights. The dash lights come on automatically but NOT the headlights....go figure. More annoyingly, when decending even a SLIGHT grade, the cruise control can not keep the set speed within 10-15 MPH. Took it in for check out and was told to read the owners manual...No other vehicle I own or have owned seems to have this problem. Granted, they may gain a few MPH, but will hold the speed much closer than this. Look out speeding ticket!

  • Twins Made Me Do It!? - 2011 Toyota Sienna
    By -

My wife and I had to get a van because of the unexpected Blessing of Twins and having a 2y/o, 3 car seats in a cross over would not do. We tested the Honda and Toyota and we did not like the Honda because of the road noise, uncomfortable seats, tight fit to 3rd row, all around Dark interior space. The Sienna Was like a blotted version of my wifes Audi Avant, so much more light and airy with Duel Moon roofs, more room between seats, better parking assist and backup camera and it was comfortable smooth and quite. It looks fast just sitting there and it was the only van with AWD. My son now does not want to leave the van and treats it like a second living room with a changing view.

We just purchased the new 2011 Sienna Limited FWD in Blizzard Pearl, and WOW am I impressed so far. Were going to have 3 kids under 3 yrs old here shortly. This thing is truly loaded with every feature you could think of. The ride is so smooth, quiet and effortless, and Im LOVING all the electronics for sure. The dealership had two identical Limiteds in Blizzard Pearl, so we got FWD vs. AWD. I was surprised that only FWD has auto fold 3rd row seat (better mpg too). Have received multiple compliments from carpool riders. IMO the interior materials look nice, not cheap as others have said. Just pay a few extra $$ and get the limited with all the fun options. You wont regret it.

  • Not a minivan person - 2011 Toyota Sienna

I did not want a minivan. I had a 12 year old Tacoma on big tires and I LOVED it. With the upcoming hope of a 2nd child, my husband convinced me to get a minivan. I am a convert - this van is awesome and the convenience factors outweigh any cares I have of what anyone thinks about me because I drive a minivan! This Sienna is a dream to own, a dream to drive, a dream just to go shopping in because all the auto doors are so convenient. Its roomy and comfortable inside, sometimes I ride in the 2nd row seats just because theyre so comfy. Weve already taken a 4 day road trip with the toddler and dog and it was a great way to travel! The front row passenger seat lays almost flat to sleep in.

  • Better than expected - 2011 Toyota Sienna

After much debate, we sold our 2005 Sienna XLE and found a great deal on a 2011 Sienna Limited ($2200 under invoice!). The ride is superior to our 2005; I would describe it as more "plush". The interior cabin noise is much improved over the 05 as well. Overall, in our mind, the Sienna beats the honda and the nissan hands down. The ability to move the second row so far back was what sold us on the Sienna. Overall, we are really happy with the purchase.
