  • Perfect Mini Van - 2000 Toyota Sienna

I bought this car used. I have only done routine maintenance and I am very happy with it. Great family vehicle. Not too big or small, not too fast or slow. I have 116k miles on it and it still runs like new. Love it.

Visibility is excellent while driving the Sienna as should be expected. The comfort of the overall ride and the fit and finish of the interior is excellent. The controls are all user friendly with one exception. The radio control on the steering wheel is easily engaged accidently and changes your radio station on you or your song on CD or tape by the way you hold the steering wheel. You must be conscience of where you place your hand on the left side of the wheel. The stereo system in the LE is just acceptable, nothing supreme really. I have owned two Nissan Quests in years past. The Sienna is a full level of comfort and safety above the Quest in my opinion.

  • A good family car - 2000 Toyota Sienna

My Toyota has been great, I just recently moved, and I was very pleased to have a bigger vehicle to ease my moving problems. I really like this vehicle overall however theres very minor problem. Sometimes when get into the car and buckle up, the seatbelt unfastened light blinks, even though I have my seatbelt on. I double check and refasten myself but the light is still on, until I repeat the fastening about 5-7 times. I dont know whats up with that problem but Ill have to go to the dealer to see whats wrong. Other than that the car is great for the family, for the kids, and for those long trips.

  • Very Good Van - 2000 Toyota Sienna

We got our Sienna in 1999 when the new Honda van just came out. We couldnt even find one to test drive. We looked at the Sienna and the Villager and it was a no contest. This van is good to drive, allows flexible seating and storage, and is extremely durable. We just paid it off and are looking forward to driving it for another four years.

  • We love it! - 2000 Toyota Sienna

Our family of four plus pets have been very fond of this car. We have had no breakdown with it, no troubles except for the third row seat release, which doesnt always work as easily as it should to remove and replace the third row seats. Otherwise, the car has been quiet and comfortable to drive, mechanically reliable, and a joy on long trips. Its hard to understand how one reviewer in this column has gotten such a lemon.

  • HARD TO DEAL WITH - 2000 Toyota Sienna

BIGGEST PROBLEMS ARE DEALING WITH TOYOTA DEALERS. BUT THE VAN IS RELIABLE AFTER 36000 MILES HAVE HAD BRAKE LIGHT COME ON SEVERAL TIME. AIR PRESSURE LIGHT WAY TO SENSITIVE.AIR CONDITIONER WENT OUT AFTER 2 WEEKS FROM BRINGING HOME. LEASE WAS UP WENT TO HONDA ODDESEY , TWICE THE VAN AND A LOT CHEAPER. GOODYEAR TIRES ARE JUNK. YOU WILL REPLACE THEM AT 12000 MILES

We researched all mini vans when we were ready to buy. As like most of you, it probably came down to the Sienna and the Odessey. We ruled out the Odessey in 2000 for the simple reason of not having leather seats. We would be bring how a newborn in our new car and the though of the first time she might get sick in the car with cloth seats was my decision only to get leather. (The Odessy wasnt very stylish either.) We just replace the brakes at 30K and have never had a problem at all with our car. We just saw pix of the 2004 coming in March and are thinking about the upgrade due to all of the new safety features.

We love this minivan. It is built on a camry chasis, and rides more like a car.

My wife and I bought this Sienna new and every 3,000 miles have it serviced. It has over 132,000 miles and for the exception of an alternator has never required any repairs other than the usual brake linings, tires, batteries, etc. It has a lot of "punch when you step on the gas; almost like youre driving a race car! This was the first non-American vehicle I ever bought and for reliability beats all the American cars Ive ever owned hands down! This is a great car for a family who doesnt want to shell out a lot for repairs.

Owned our Sienna for 8/ 1/2 years, was a great car, 100% reliable, always dealer serviced and never any mechanical issues. Well done. Hated to see it go, but needed a bigger rig.
