  • Well built - 2000 Toyota Sienna

I bought my sienna in 2005 with 75K; 7 years later it now has 160K and is still running strong. In my opinion the sienna is rather homely when compared to other minivans, however it makes up for this with its excellent built quality and reliability. I have never had any problems with this van is the seven years that I owned it. It has excellent build quality both under the hood as well as in the body (very sturdy). It is not very fun to drive but I have yet to find a minivan that is. The sienna does have an excellent ride both on the highway as well as in the city. I am amazed at how well it has held up over the years.

  • Typical Toyota Dependability - 2000 Toyota Sienna

This is an excellent family vehicle. The only real problems are the weak brakes, rattle in the rear (found in plastic panels and fixed with foam tape), and confusing accessory controls on steering wheel. Small price to pay for unequaled dependability and family safety.

  • Squeeky - 2000 Toyota Sienna

We love this van except for the squeeky brakes ,we have taken it back to the dealer numbers of times ,but they say they are OK.The cruise control tends to accelerate to much. Power door is touchy.

  • Great Car - 2000 Toyota Sienna

I absolutely love this car. I was hesitant when looking because I had never had a van before and when I did my first test drive I called it a bus. Now that we have owned it for a few years, I really really like it and all the features. A TV in the ceiling is helpful for traveling distances with kids. We dont use it runing around town and it isnt noticeable when not in use. The remote headphones allow you to listen to radio in front while TV is on in back.

Excellent minivan! We have three daughters 10,8, and 3. This van is smaller than the other minivans, but will certainly be more than adequate for our needs for the next five years. The middle row captains chairs are ideal, allowing one of the girls to have the entire 3rd row to themself.

  • A good family car - 2000 Toyota Sienna

My Toyota has been great, I just recently moved, and I was very pleased to have a bigger vehicle to ease my moving problems. I really like this vehicle overall however theres very minor problem. Sometimes when get into the car and buckle up, the seatbelt unfastened light blinks, even though I have my seatbelt on. I double check and refasten myself but the light is still on, until I repeat the fastening about 5-7 times. I dont know whats up with that problem but Ill have to go to the dealer to see whats wrong. Other than that the car is great for the family, for the kids, and for those long trips.

  • HARD TO DEAL WITH - 2000 Toyota Sienna
    By -

BIGGEST PROBLEMS ARE DEALING WITH TOYOTA DEALERS. BUT THE VAN IS RELIABLE AFTER 36000 MILES HAVE HAD BRAKE LIGHT COME ON SEVERAL TIME. AIR PRESSURE LIGHT WAY TO SENSITIVE.AIR CONDITIONER WENT OUT AFTER 2 WEEKS FROM BRINGING HOME. LEASE WAS UP WENT TO HONDA ODDESEY , TWICE THE VAN AND A LOT CHEAPER. GOODYEAR TIRES ARE JUNK. YOU WILL REPLACE THEM AT 12000 MILES

Owned our Sienna for 8/ 1/2 years, was a great car, 100% reliable, always dealer serviced and never any mechanical issues. Well done. Hated to see it go, but needed a bigger rig.

  • good but needs more space - 2000 Toyota Sienna
    By -

this is my first van and I like the ability to carry all of the people but the space for luggage is limited. If I didnt have the luggage carrier on top it would be impossible to take the family of 5 on a week vacation!

  • Good, but with problems - 2000 Toyota Sienna
    By -

We had no problems until 65,000 miles. Since then, the transmission busted ($2,300 for a rebuilt trans.) and both sliding door handles have broken (around $330 to fix for both). All tires had to be changed at 15,000 miles and again at 40,000. Definitely some alignment issues. A good car, but quality control seems to be becoming an issue for some Toyotas. That said, Im considering replacing this with another Toyota (RAV4), so I guess it goes to show Ive not given up on Toyotas perceived reliability.
