2017 Sierra - 2017 Toyota Sienna
By John Smardzewski - July 14 - 2:38 pmAcceleration is a bit sluggish compared to other minivans and cars. Gas mileage at this time is lower then expected but we still have under 1000 miles on it so it is not broken in yet. Winter driving in city condition is getting about 16.5 mpg

Disappointing compared to our 2008 - 2017 Toyota Sienna
By John Yates - November 14 - 1:00 pmWe drove a brand new 2017 (only 27 miles when we drove off the lot) as a loaner while our 2008 Sienna was serviced and I was curious to see what I would think of it given our current van is getting a bit long in the tooth. On the whole it was very disappointing. The engine felt really weak- my wife compared it the 1988 Corolla she drove in college- versus our surprisingly quick 2008 Sienna. Fuel economy was worse as well at less than 19mpg compared to about 21mpg with our current Sienna. The interior felt like a major downgrade with thin, cheap plastic surfaces. We also missed a lot of nooks and crannies- like covered storage in the door armrests. The seats were considerably less supportive and comfortable than what we are used to. On the whole I think we will stay with our 2008 Sienna for a few more years.

2017 Sienna - 2017 Toyota Sienna
By Norman Jungmann - February 22 - 7:12 pmWe have owned two previous Siennas, 2004 and 2007. This 2017 is a big improvement in ride, quiteness, and technology. It seems much smother. Although it has an increased HP motor, performance seems about the same, but fuel economy shows a 10% improvement.

Love AWD but make car slower - 2017 Toyota Sienna
By Marcin Rokicki - October 22 - 8:22 amWe replace 2013 FWD XLE with 2017 XLE Premium AWD. Ride is much much improved . Quality of interior compare to other minivans on the market is outstanding. Only issue/downsize is performance. Not sure if this is because of AWD or new direct injection motor/new transmission but old car was much more punchy. This new one is simply lazy.. you have to step on really hard to get any performance from it

"A Golf Car Dressed As A Minivan" - 2017 Toyota Sienna
By Steve - January 28 - 6:01 amIve been driving a minivan for quite a few years now & tried them all out, I was really looking forward for this new 2017 Sienna XLE until I actually got it... For starters, Its engine is as noisy as a sports car but drives like a Golf Car, the pickup is terrible & I mean "TERRIBLE", Ive owned a Toyota Camry & was very impressed so going into this Sienna I wouldnt think twice, But this was a terrible mistake... But of course theres no backing out once you sign the dotted line.. I would rather drive a 99 Town & Country, Toyota should really be ashamed of themselves for releasing such a vehicle & should recall all of there 2017 Siennas until they figure things out.. Do yourself a favor & stay away from this minivan for now!!!

2017 Toyota Sienna is piece of Junk - 2017 Toyota Sienna
By MAT - May 31 - 4:08 amWe have been very disappointed with the quality of 2017 Toyota Sienna Van Powertrain and its workmanship. Van has just 1000 miles on it and it runs like piece of junk. There is no power and sometimes it becomes very risky on the road when it start losing its power. Transmission sucks and its really hazard for life sometimes when you drive on speedy road. We raised the concern with Round Rock Toyota and service the van three time since bought within two months. They have no answer to the problem though they accepted that car has some major problem. Service dept. shared Toyota Customer service number and after 4 weeks of communication on paper Toyota Customer service said they cant help CAUTION: I SUGGEST ALL THE NEW BUYERS OF TOYOTA CARs TO BE CAREFUL AS ITS A HAZARD TO YOUR LIFE AND WASTE OF MONEY TO BUY TOYOTA.

Great Product - 2017 Toyota Sienna
By Floyd B - January 28 - 4:47 pmToyota makes a great product and they did not fall short on the 2017 Sienna. Im renting the LE fwd model and Im surprised how easy this vehicle is to drive, park and how comfortable it feels on long and short distance drives. The shifts throw its 8spd automatic transmission are smooth and quick under ECO mode. If you turn ECO mode off, the shift a ferm, but not harsh. The engine delivers good power(296hp on all trim levels...highest in its class with great fuel economy) but can be a bit loud under heavy load (fully acceleration with ECO mode on or off). The exterior of the Sienna is pleasing to the eye for most people. In higher trim levels, you can get fog lamps, lower body treatment and Altezza rear tail lights. The interior is an accommodating please to be. Comfortable seat front, middle and 3rd row. Driver gets a power adjustable seat with lumbar, while the others get manual siders. This model has the stoll-a-way second row middle seat which gives this Sienna the capability to seat 8 passangers. Great if you are an Uber driver. Super easy to see out of. This makes this van a little more affordable because, you dont really need the blind spot monitoring system, which I believe, its offered on higher trim levels. In the LE trim and higher, you can get the Sienna equipped with AWD. Im only giving this vehicle for stars simply because Ive noticed a few things that could be better or improve. Ive noticed when Im by myself in the vehicle, the 2nd row and third roll seats vibrate. I did not get any complaints from my other customers however that is concerning. I believe if they stiffen the chassis just a little more that was all the problem. I do wish that the fuel door release mechanism was located in a different area . It is very easy to mistaken it for the hood release and for those who are not familiar with the location of the fuel door release , it could make it difficult in the dark to find the fuel door release . Also, unless you get a really good nights sleep and/or you have passengers with you the interior can tend to be a little bit boring. This can cause some drivers to feel tired and/or sleepy while driving. I strongly encourage Toyota does a little more treatment to their interior. Had a similar issue with a 2015 Camry.
