Overview & Reviews
The 2008 Subaru Impreza has been completely redesigned. Roomier and more refined on the inside, the restyled Impreza is meant to appeal to a more mainstream audience. Sedan and hatchback body styles are again available, as are the turbocharged WRX and ultra-high-performance WRX STI.
- Missing some higher-end convenience features, behind-the-times transmissions, below-average fuel economy, sleepy styling except for extroverted STI.

Love the Subaru Outback sport - 2008 Subaru Impreza
By Brando - October 22 - 12:07 pmIf youre going to want a car that you can love and appreciate here you go. Aside from Subarus head gasket problems that they are notorious for its has been nothing but my favorite car in my lifetime. Keep in mind they did over three grand worth of work to mine for the head gaskets thank goodness it was under warranty if the dealership offers a warranty buy it otherwise youll be wishing you did when you head gaskets start leaking not to mention youll need to have your timing belt and water pump done and consider a set of good snow tires they will make all the difference in bad weather

Great Car - 2008 Subaru Impreza
By Patch - September 12 - 9:40 pmGreat car that is fun and safe to drive. I get between 29-30 mpg with it in mixed driving. Good access in the back to carry loads. Had a WRX before that was fun, but had a harsh ride and was not as stable in adverse winter conditions. This car has plenty of pep.

Nearly Perfect - 2008 Subaru Impreza
By chris - September 4 - 4:13 pmHave had the car since the end of Nov. and I am loving it. Outback package is the best of the bunch, larger wheels, two tone, great features for a great price. Great in the snow, after 3000 miles I am averaging 24.6 mpg in mixed driving. The look grows on me more and more. Roof rack is noisy, but easy to take off. Not a big fan of the stereo, the sound never seems to fill the cabin or your ears. I think I will upgrade or get the amp. Heated seats and mirrors are great. Overall I am very happy.

STI for adults - 2008 Subaru Impreza
By erven50 - July 3 - 9:10 pmI purchased my 2008 STI in March of 2008 and have been completely satisfied. It is fast, useful and the 2008 avoided the "boy racer" wing of older STIs. Some say the car has gotten soft - as compared to what? If a far better car and as fast as my 2004 Mustang Cobra and a powerful car with all wheel drive is simply amazing. The dealers are now discounting the STI heavily - my advice is if you want performance and durability - test drive the new STI - and gas mileage is 20-22 if you exercise some control. The STI is hands down the best performance car I have ever owned

A Practical Commuter with a Soul - 2008 Subaru Impreza
By Mike - June 30 - 8:40 pmI have only owned the vehicle for a few days, but it is incredibly solid and quite fun to drive. Going from a Z28 to a four-cylinder was a bit daunting, but the car feels spritely for 170 ponies. Controls are well laid-out and easy to figure out, and the car responds as though it is meant to be driven. After test-driving a few vehicles (Corolla, Civic, etc) the Subaru was by far the most fun and felt like the best value for my dollar, especially with the full-time All Wheel Drive. The stereo is a bit tinny (base model), but can be easily upgraded. Absolutely opt for the auxiliary-input if you get the base model for MP3 connectivity - its a blast!

The best STI yet - 2008 Subaru Impreza
By wrxlep - June 27 - 4:30 pmThis is my third STI. So far it is my favorite! It is more grown up now, which is perfect for someone that has graduated from the blue interior and giant wing (which I STILL love). The hatch is really great for hauling around stuff or for a guy with a family. The car has lost a little edge from the old one, but for my needs, its for the better. I do recommend a 3M clear bra as the water based paint is still not as durable as it should be and rock chips WILL happen. The car is a little more incognito because of the new shape and isnt quite as much of a cop magnet.

Great buy - 2008 Subaru Impreza
By jnaz - April 3 - 11:40 pmI recently purchased this vehicle, the gas mileage is great and it is a pleasure to drive. The back seat and trunk are both a bit tight but I would recommend this car to anyone.
