Overview & Reviews
The Pathfinder has been completely redesigned for 2005 and now includes third-row seating and a larger, more powerful V6.
- Most powerful V6 in the class, above average off-road ability, well-laid-out interior, flexible seating design, ample storage space throughout.
- Tight rear-seat accommodations, on-road handling not as refined as car-based competitors, some odd interior materials.

05 SE pathfinder - 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
By davmc - August 2 - 11:40 pmThis is my 3rd pathfinder lease. I was able to get my notes lower than my 1999.5 model and it has way more features. I really like the new layout and the center with brushed metal accents. The cup holders are just right for my large cup of Joe in the morning. The engine sounds like a v-8 at low speeds but disappears at highway speeds. The cabin is pretty quite and it has a great sound system. The rear doors seem to open wider than my 02. This helps getting my son out of his child seat. The back floor my be easy to wipe clean but your stuff slides all over the place. My kids love the 3rd row seats and dvd player.

New Block needs Old "chip" - 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
By Jay and Karen - July 28 - 9:46 pmReally like the truck, it handles mother nature pretty well. However someone needs to tell me how closely they "drafted" the test truck to claim 20mpg. Maybe a new programmable chip (like the ones available for Ford F- series diesels or other performance vehicles) is in order?!

Love It - 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
By PathfinderOWNER - July 27 - 7:00 amI love my new Pathfinder. I just bought a 05 LE. The only things I hate about it is it sways in the wind and the doors do not automatically lock once it is put into Drive. My gas door always opens by itself if I dont lock the doors. I am taking it back to the Dealership tomorrow.

"Going through a transition" - 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
By canteengreen - July 24 - 11:43 amGoing from a front wheel drive, 5-manual, german sedan to the Pathfinder was quite a leap for me. So far, this vehicle has made the transition as painless as possible. Im enjoying it so much that I took off a few days of work, just to spend some time on the road. Unfortunately, its been raining the whole time!

Creating a path for others to follow - 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
By Lanlut - July 19 - 7:36 pmIve owned this vehicle for about a week or so and I absolutely love it. I traded my beloved 02 Altima for the Pathfinder and I can honestly say I dont have any regrets. I bought the LE 2WD drive model. My vehicle has all of the amenities to include: leather/dual power seats, sunroof, navigation system and on and on and on. Unquestionably, for the money theres not a vehicle that comes close to this one. I test drove the Acura MDX, Toyota 4 Runner, and Lexus GX 470 and chose the Nissan Pathfinder. This vehicle is a fine representation of Nissans commitment to excellence. Lastly, MSRP for this particular vehicle was $35,650 and I paid around $33,000. So, dont be afraid to haggle.

Excellent SUV - 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
By jds - July 9 - 9:03 amI have really enjoyed this vehicle. There were a few minor adjustments that needed to be made to the vehicle (squeaky stereo compartment) which the dealer fixed. Otherwise, the power is excellent and for a SUV, it rides pretty well.

By Nick - June 26 - 10:40 pmThis is a great car. Its definitly bigger than previous pathfinders and the design of the car is definitly different and better looking. My 2005 Pathfinder is red with the grey leather interior and it looks fabulous! It also drives great and handles very well.

Great Mid-Sized SUV - 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
By JAmiot - June 9 - 10:20 pmThe new 2005 Storm Grey SE, 4X4 Pathfinder impresses me with something new every time I drive it. The smooth and powerful drivetrain, quiet ride, well-thought out interior features make for a quality SUV with "lots of bang for the buck!" The fit and finish is top notch and I predict this vehicle will be a big hit. People need to look at this ride before buying a new mid- sized SUV before they make a mistake and buy the wrong vehicle and pay too much.

So far, so good - 2005 Nissan Pathfinder
By Skierdude - June 3 - 7:16 amI was a little leery of buying a Japanese SUV after 4 good years in a Durango 4x4 but weve been pleasantly surprised. The car has better pickup with its V6 than the Durango had with its V8 with about the same interior room. The styling is a head turner especially in the Canteen Green. We especially like the ease of reconfiguring the interior and have been abole to get a 9 6" surfboard in the car and still seat three people. The only negative is that the suspension doesnt seem to have enough travel, bottoming out with only moderate loads on moderate dips. So far, so good!
