Overview & Reviews
Most of the changes to the 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class relate to engine upgrades. Last year's E500 model is gone, and in its place is the 382-horsepower E550. Mercedes' AMG division has also renamed last year's E55 AMG as the E63 AMG in light of its more powerful 507-hp V8 engine. Additionally, there's an improved version of the diesel-fueled E320; called Bluetec, it promises reduced tailpipe emissions. Rounding out the changes are updated front-end styling, the addition of the PreSafe anticipatory safety system (from the S-Class), improved adaptive lighting, a new sport package and a few extra standard features that were previously optional.
- Sleek and dignified design inside and out, pleasing blend of ride and handling, powerful V8 engines, sophisticated safety features, all-wheel drive available on both sedans and wagons.
- More expensive than competitors, confusing control layout, electronically controlled brakes lack progressive feel.

Great performance, mileage, terrible GPS - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Robert - January 12 - 1:06 amI love the horsepower and the mileage. The car flies and I get over 28 MPG on the highway and 22 MPG overall. Mine did have a cylinder head replaced at 2500 miles but it has run great ever sense. The hood does not line up perfectly which is not something I expected from MBZ. This is my fourth Mercedes but it will probably be my last because of the navigation system. The GPS is the worst product I have ever purchased and I am very familiar with GPS systems. After two years of trying, I give up. It simply does not work. It proposes ridiculous routes, is difficult to use, shows irrelevant points and leaves off significant towns, even on interstates. I wish there was a fix for it.

Certified Pre-Owned Dream - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Gleasy Sue - August 25 - 7:56 pmArctic White with P1 package (18" wheels, Sirius, heated seats, etc,). I was originally looking at a brand new C300 4MATIC but was disappointed that the C350 did not have an all wheel drive option. My other car is an 02 WRX and I was not looking to buy a naturally aspirated and less inspiring performer, which I found to be the case after driving the C. I picked up this beauty, fully loaded with the remainder of the original warranty, plus 100,000 miles that comes with the CPO status. This vehicle is absolutely stunning. I am very pleased with the acceleration and handling and am glad I did not choose to compromise with the C. Gas mileage, MB- E350>MB-C300>Subaru WRX. Love it!

My Mercedes nightmare!! - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Frank - July 31 - 10:36 amIm the second owner of this amazing e550, let me say its a head turner. However after months after buying the car I started to notice a "malfunction" light indicating a car with a lift symbol. Never thought much seeing how it came on and went away. After a few weeks it started to come on daily. I then noticed the car dropped about an inch!! The airmatic was broken!! The rear was on the ground! I brought it to Mercedes they told me over 3800.00 to repair the rear airbags and compressor!!! What a joke. Who builds a car on air suspension?!?!? It will always fail. Mercedes needs to recall this! Beware buyers. After 40k you will have to replace this! Go buy a c class youll be better off.....

2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class E350 Avant-Garde Sport - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By mercedeslover1 - July 30 - 7:08 amThe Mercedes- Benz E-Class is an amazing vehicle, that I have truly enjoyed owning. The design is so timeless and elegant and never looks pretentious, but only classy. The interior and exterior are made of materials that are built to last, and everything feels high quality and feels as if it could withstand a nuclear attack. However, there are some problems with this model, specifically with the transmission valve body, which does tend to fail but the replacement should resolve any issues. This car is expensive to fix, and owners should have a few thousand sat aside for potential problems, however problems generally are few to none.

Black Beauty - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By RJC - June 9 - 11:13 pmBought new for my wifes 60th birthday, this was her 5th Mercedes and 4th E-class. By far the best E- class ever. Very comfortable on long trips, 32-34 mpg avg. hwy and 19 to 21 city. Just under 30K miles and no problems. My wife absolutely loves her 2007 E-350 as much as I do my BMW Z4.

Perfectly balanced luxury vehicle - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By westcoast - May 6 - 8:10 pmAfter over a year of researching, test driving and contemplating, finally chose a CPO MB to replace my older 98 MB E320. Compared Lexus ES350, GS350, A6, Acura TL, RL, Infiniti M35, G35 None of those vehicles came close to matching the REFINEMENT of even my old E320! Love the balance of luxury and sport, plus beautiful lines. Sound system is fantastic, Command is intuitive. 4-wheel has come in handy already.

Love the Car! - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Pamkf - April 29 - 3:53 pmI bought the Benz a couple of weeks ago and love it. I have been a loyal BMW fan for the last 10 years, but wanted a change. The E550 is the perfect car. Full of power, and leaps ahead at the slightest press on the accelerator. Nice tight German car steering. The car is quiet and purrs along with a very smooth ride, which is quite different then the bone rattling ride that I had with my BMW 530 with run flat tires. The car itself is gorgeous with clean, classic lines, and a beautiful interior. As expected the gas mileage is not great, but you dont buy a V-8 engine expecting to get excellent mileage. Love the car so much that it is a disappointment to get to work in the morning.

Thrill Ride - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Don R - April 3 - 4:46 pmI bought this car with only 13K miles off a lease return. The 382 HP makes this car a rocket sedan. It rides like a luxury car but peforms like a sports car. The most pleasant surprise has been the gas mileage. On my first major highway trip I got an astounding 32 MPG while averaging 75 MPH! It takes a lot of restraint to hold back the reins on this thoroughbred. On my commute I normally get 26 MPG. The only problem has been the low profile tires. Ive ruined two tires and bent two rims on pot holes. This is without a doubt the most fun Ive had driving a car in the past 35 years.

2007 E-350 - 2007 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By albion729 - January 29 - 3:57 amI bought an E-350 in May 09. It is really an enjoyable vehicle to drive. I have owned Acuras and Volvos in the past. None of these compare to the E-350 in terms of build and ride quality. The Acura might be better in the performance area though. But, This is a much better quality car. I have not have any maintenance issue with this car. The service is top notch but costly. I would definitely buy another Benz.
