Overview & Reviews
More airbags find room in the E-Class, which now features a full curtain side airbag protection system. The E300 Turbodiesel and E320 wagon are enhanced with leather seat inserts, and all E-Class cars get fiber-optic technology in their sound system/optional telephone unit.
- Attractive, sporty, and refined, the E-Class cars are some of our favorites.

A great alternative to a SUV - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By CMatos - December 15 - 2:00 amWe recently added twins to the family. Something reasonably comfortable and efficient was called for. Minivans were absolutely out of the question and SUVs, well, they dont handle all that well after all, do they? The E320 Estate seemed the perfect solution. We havent been let down.

1999 M/B E320AWD - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By rosetta stone - November 14 - 10:00 amgreat, solid m/b feel. wonderful steering, brakes, ride. respectable fuel economy. spectacular turning radius. cute compartment under phone to keep food/drink hot or cold-- vented. phone difficult to program. surprising problems with transmission at 16K miles and horn blew out. ignition switch tends to not release key.

What an amazing car!!!!! - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Ruffian - October 16 - 10:00 amI just bought a 99 E430 with 68,000 miles on it. I am stunned by the performance of this vehicle. The transmission is silky, and the higher speed the more it seems to settle in. The thing Ive enjoyed most about this vehicle is passing cars on the highway (the first time you really gun it will give you goosebumps) and the feel of taking a curve. Entrance and exit ramps and cloverleafs have never been so fun! Each time I drive it my heart races-- no kidding. The best money Ive ever spent.

Strong reliable car - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By MR.DPM - October 4 - 6:13 amI purchased My 99 E320 with 99k miles on it from the original owner with all of the records. I also own a sports car (Porsche 993) and a truck, and it seems I am always driving this car. The car just "fits" me and get good mileage (30 on the open road)and in solid as granite. I have owned several Mercedes and this car is as all of them tend to be, reliable and solid.

Great Family Car - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By mbob - August 3 - 2:00 amBest car I ever owned. Comfort, styling, performance, fuel economy, saftey, and reliability all top notch. Price tag well worth it as I will drive this car at least 10 years and overall cost of ownership will ultimately be less than lesser priced and lesser quality cars.

Excellent for all year round use. - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Leo - May 15 - 2:00 amThis is the best all year round car, especially if you need to drive in winter conditions. However, do not expect a sporty ride. In turns, it sometimes feels like a boat. The Continental tires that came with the new car was poor in handling corners and in tread life, the Michelin that I changed to was much better.

E320 - nothing more than a Chrysler - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By GregM100 - April 29 - 10:00 amCar has been nothing but problems. Back Window has fallen down twice already and required a $500 repair each time. Dealership says MB very aware of the issue and all E320s will have this problem at some time or another. Poor Build quality!!

MB E430 Sport - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By kelker7 - March 5 - 2:00 amI find the car to be very well put together and the performance has been a very pleasant surprise. The design of the E430 Sport has lines that distinguishes it from the other E-Class cars, but doesnt change the cars distinct E-Class looks.

Outstanding Mercedes! - 1999 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Kieran - December 4 - 1:26 pmJust turned 140,000 miles. Fabulous car, super reliable. The key to buying a great used MB is the service history. I have had many MB products, history is everything. If you buy from Sam and Louie down at the corner and no one knows anything other then the price...well good luck. This is one of the best cars built by Benz. 10yrs and 140k and she still looks and drives great. No repetitive issues, replaced crank sensor (about $250) just that and normal service. I highly reccomed these cars....but know its history!
