  • Best Value compare to Accord or Camry - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

2nd Generation of faithful Honda cars. Took me 2 weeks to decide b/w Accord, Camry, Mazda 6 and Malibu. I compared those cars with the same price model. Hyundai Sonata was not even in my mind. Tested drive all of them. I decided on Accord for their value. Then I tested 2011 Sonata and just change my mind. Wow, I though I tested drive this Sonata before, today I found out this car was more then what I expected driving from the dealer in Dallas to Austin. Everything was nice, nice handling, nice power, nice interior/exterior, love the seats, like the electronic inside.

Bought the car about 3 months ago, have over 6000 miles on it. Very comfortable, decent acceleration, average almost 32 mpg combined unless I am hard on it.

  • High Class For Less CASH - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I’ve had my 2011 Sonata Limited w/Nav for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it. People often mistake it for a Buick, Lexus, BMW and Mercedes. There are currently 3 2011 Sonatas on my block. I traded my 05 Pontiac Gran Prix for the Sonata. Although I haven’t made any long trips I’m very impressed with the combo MPG thus far. I truly believe Sonata will be a force to reckon with for many years to come. As a matter of fact the Dealership where I purchased my Sonata had more people there shopping for cars than the local mall. Hyundai really hit this one out of the park, leaving me with 2 words about my 2011 Sonata experience, “SIMPLY OUTSTANDING”.

I love my sonata. I bought the limited. I have only 1000 mi on it so far. the styling is great! lots of compliments. I test drove several cars before I made my decision. I drove Cadillac cts, Buick lacrosse, Buick regal, ford Taurus. I chose the sonata because of value, style, fun to drive.

  • Its not what you think - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

The 4 cyl is underpowered. Rough idle. Needs a 6 cyl engine. Honda Accord or GM 6 cyl make this look sick. Dont waste your money.

  • Overall Good Car - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Ive owned this car for 6 months and 7900 miles. So far, here are my impressions: Pros: Great combination of power and fuel economy, great looking body, well executed and very comfortable interior, large number of features for the price. Cons: Electric power steering doesnt have the best feel, road noise (tires) is louder than it should be, my car has the slight left pull issue that comes-and-goes with tire rotations, 18" wheels with low profile tires are very sensitive to road irregularities, too easy to scrape 18" wheels on curbs, car wash guides, etc.

I have had my 2011 GLS for a year and 16k miles. Overall I really like this car. I am 63 and have painful back issues. This car has the best support and the least back pain problems of any car I have ever driven on a long trip. We recently averaged 32 MPG driving the interstate at 80 mph. I cannot drive at 65 -70, but I am sure it would hit the 35 as advertised. City milage is not so good, but I come close to the 22mpg as stated. This car is roomy, I love the styling, it had a low base price and the dealer had a $1000 rebate, whats not to love. This is a great highway car. I wanted the Limited, but the sunroof really compromised the headroom as I am tall.

  • Ignition Problem - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Great mileage at 41 mpg - we drive almost exclusively long highway miles. Have had car for 2 months with 6 "no- start" ignition events and 2 trips to dealer about it. Second servicing seems to have fixed it - something to do with a harness connection with the brake, which needs to be depressed to start engine.

  • Im done with this car and Hyundai Motor Co. - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Love the styling and power from the 2.4 motor, but thats about it. The gas mileage is not what it is supposed to be, get about 21 City and never see over 32 HWY. The "leather" seats are cheap and hard. The suspension is rough and steering feels fake. The car has had transmission issues, steering recalls, brake sensor problems causing the car to not start, water leaks causing me to take the car in 4 times and eventually having to have a Hyundai engineer determine that the roof was not sloped right and then they had to do body work on the car to correct it! XM antenna shorted out and headliner had to be replaced all do to this problem.

  • Buy it Now ! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

About two weeks ago, I stopped in the Hyundai dealership service dept to pick up an item. My wife said she wanted to see the new Sonata 2011 Limited in the showroom and would meet me in a few moments. Long story short.........we owned the Sonata one week later! LOVE this car. We went for the Limited with all the goodies. I hate driving and especially long trips. Now, that has changed and prior to the 2005 Santa Fe I traded in, we are coming off of Acuras. I told my wife I am NOT paying $40,000 for an automobile any longer.
