Overview & Reviews
The four-door Double Cab joins the 2004 Toyota Tundra lineup. The Double Cab rides on an extended wheelbase of 140.5 inches, and features a cargo bed equal in length to the Access Cab's while gaining 3.5 inches of depth.
- Smooth and refined V8, Toyota build quality and reliability, easy maneuverability in urban areas, roomy Double Cab configuration.
- Lacks serious brawn for towing and hauling, uncomfortable front seats, cramped rear seat in Access Cab, chintzy interior trimmings.

Tundra Fan - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By Alpha Truck - May 4 - 2:00 amThis 4 DR. truck has nice pickup and rides as smooth as the top of the line Toyota cars. The motor has smooth acceleration and trans shifts smooth. Plenty of room in back for 3 plus the convience of a pickup for hauling whatever.

Just a great truck - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By Richard - March 26 - 2:03 amI was happy with my 2002 Tundra, but it was an access cab and I needed the D-cap easier access. The 2004 I have is a TRD and the handling difference between that and my 2002 SR5 is remarkably better. Cabin ride is very quiet and comfort is quite nice on long trips. The only problem I had was a bad battery which the dealer quickly replaced free. Had the same problem twice with my 2002. Im nearing 50K and have had perfect service and dependibility. Until 1988, I never drove a Toyota. Since then, its nothing but Toyotas for our family. Cant wait for the 2007! Hope its not too big!

Very Happy - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By Fatcat300 - March 24 - 11:03 pmI am very happy with my 04 tundra. It has great reliability, fun to drive. I was disappointed with the horsepower on the 04s but it still gets up and goes. I was happy to see that they ramped up the HP on the 05s. I am extremely happy with the redesigned cargo space in the bed and that is has a deeper design. I also enjoy the back window that rolls all the way down. All in all I have no complaints about this truck and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a well built, reliable, and economical truck.

Bulletproof Tundras - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By raydoctor - March 16 - 2:00 amThis is my second Tundra. My first one was an 02 SR5 4x4. It performed flawlessly. I recently purchased an 04 Limited. The V8 in these trucks is bulletproof. I do alot of highway driving but I also head back into the woods, mud, and snow loading ATVs and Dirtbikes. It performs excellent in all arenas. In addition, if I sepend 30K on a truck Id expect superior safety qualities which Toyota delivers. Just see the IHSS and Govt crash scores of some of the competetion out there and compare!

Good truck. - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By johnny coolguy - February 2 - 2:00 amThis vehicle has a solid look and a solid feel. It has a hefty motor, thought not as hefty as chevy or ford but enough for most people. The four full doors make it great for the wife and the dogs to be comfortable while the interior is comfortable and boasts all the necessities. All in all this is a great truck that looks good and performs well.

Incredible truck - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By Steve L. - February 2 - 2:00 amI can tell you this truck is worth every second of wait and every dime! (four hundred thousand dimes that is). The ride is so smooth that you get a sensation of floating over the road. Yes you can feel road bumps and holes, but greatly reduced. The interior cabin is so quiet that nobody knows Im in the car when talking on the cell phone. The JBL Synthesis DVD system is absolutely amazing! I did not even realize until about 2 weeks into ownership that it actually plays DVD- Video and DVD-Audio--which offers unsurpassed audio fidelity. The truck is very powerful and has incredible pick-up.

Colorado to Alaska in Tundra D-Cab - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By BadBob - January 23 - 10:00 amI bought the Tundra D-Cab from Longmont Toyota for several reasons: outstanding sales and incentives, easy to work with the dealer, and they bent over backward to make the sale. I put a 1600-pound camper on the Tundra and drove it 4600 miles back to Alaska with ZERO problems. The Tundra handling and performance with the camper weight was great. The cruise control handled the load just fine.
