Overview & Reviews
The four-door Double Cab joins the 2004 Toyota Tundra lineup. The Double Cab rides on an extended wheelbase of 140.5 inches, and features a cargo bed equal in length to the Access Cab's while gaining 3.5 inches of depth.
- Smooth and refined V8, Toyota build quality and reliability, easy maneuverability in urban areas, roomy Double Cab configuration.
- Lacks serious brawn for towing and hauling, uncomfortable front seats, cramped rear seat in Access Cab, chintzy interior trimmings.

what a truck - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By Douglas2 - December 29 - 2:00 amJust bought the 4 door limited a few week ago so far I love it. It drives so smoothly. I just got rid of my Ford Supercrew and the difference in comfort and ride is unbelievable. I also had a Silverado before the Ford. Still no comparison. I had all intentions of buying the new Nissan Titan in fact I was on my way to the Nissan dealership to order one but instead stopped at the Toyota dealership and test drove the Tundra. It won hands down.

toyotas rule - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By toyotas rule - October 10 - 2:00 amToyota has done it again they have improved on an already great truck. Safety, reliabilty, predicted resale value why look at anything else. And you would never believe my salespersons name "Rusty Lemmon." And I will recommend Kendall Toyota again and again.

Wonderful truck - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By Shewolf - May 24 - 10:00 amI traded in my Toyota Tacoma for the Tundra, there is much more room inside and is larger and easier to handle. My Tundra is much smoother riding than my husbands Dodge Ram and I wouldnt hesitate to drive across country in my Tundra.

Toyota has built the right truck - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By JaxTundra04 - May 24 - 10:00 amThis is my second Tundra and my second Toyota. I used to drive Nissans for years, but their build quality and service department has gone down hill. The Tundra is a great truck that does not require frequent trips for repairs, and it holds its value, unlike so many other trucks. I see people writing reviews here that are either just trying to bring down the Tundra because its not a "domestic" truck, or they are just flat out lying. If you buy a Tundra, you will not be disappointed.

An outstanding truck - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By Stationed at Bragg - January 15 - 2:00 amThis is my first true truck since switching over from owning nothing but chevies. I went with Toyota because of their reputation for reliabilty and havent been disappointed yet. My last vehicle was a 96 4WD blazer that would shred a tranny every 12000 miles. So far I have 22000 onthe tundra and it has performed flawlessly.

Can you say... DEPENDABILITY?! - 2004 Toyota Tundra
By DaveinNorthCarolina - January 10 - 10:00 amOne word sums up WHY I bought the Tundra, DEPENDABILITY! This makes my 3rd Toyota truck! I still have #2 (a 95 Tacoma extended cab V6 4x4) which I use as a daily commuter. 122,428 miles and counting! Simply stated, I BELIEVE in the Toyota product! Dont take my word for it. While youre here at Edmunds, check out JD Powers assessment of the Tundra. Compared with Nissans Titan, the Tundra got higher marks for MECHANICAL QUALITY, FEATURE & ACCESSORY QUALITY, and BODY & INTERIOR QUALITY. Key word is QUALITY! That says volumes for me and MY money! Another MAJOR factor in buying the Tundra; the GOTTA HAVE IT factor! The Tundra MORE than satisfies here!
