This Year's Model Updates:

The four-door Double Cab joins the 2004 Toyota Tundra lineup. The Double Cab rides on an extended wheelbase of 140.5 inches, and features a cargo bed equal in length to the Access Cab's while gaining 3.5 inches of depth.

Pros:
  • Smooth and refined V8, Toyota build quality and reliability, easy maneuverability in urban areas, roomy Double Cab configuration.
Cons:
  • Lacks serious brawn for towing and hauling, uncomfortable front seats, cramped rear seat in Access Cab, chintzy interior trimmings.

Great vehicle. Handles elevations up to 11,000 without any strain. Did well in Hi Serria. Gas mileage in town around 17. Almost 22 on the highway unless leadfoot hits it over 75.

Bought my Tundra about a year ago, still love it as much as the day I drove off the lot. Smooth ride, silky V8, nice looks, good warranty, and overall solid feel to it. I test drove and rented others but they felt cheap. I rented an 04 Silverado (16K miles on it) and with the rattles, squeaks, and bumpy ride I thought it was going to fall apart. Why would the warranties on Ford & Chevy suck unless their trucks were low quality? As for Dodge 7yr/100K, youre just paying up front for the repairs. The Tundra is the best truck for the everyday person who does not haul extremely heavy loads.

I was really happy to get one of the first to roll into the dealer. It is a little under-powered for my towing needs, but when my supercharger is installed, look out hills !!!!

This truck is great.I think everyone should get rid of there junk fords and gmcs and get the tundra. The tundra is the hottest truck out there. It drives and handles great. It is very good off road.I put lots of miles on and have no problems. If you had a gmc or ford you would have to replace many things after alot of miles.Overall its a great truck as for the money and its reliability.

If you are in the market to purchase a truck this is the one to consider. This truck as a 2wd had done everything and more of a 4wd. It goes off road with great gas mileage and on road (stop and go) with great gas mileage. Our truck is mainly used in the city. It is comfortable in stop and go and highway driving. Comfort and design of this truck is superior. We have cloth interior, with a green exterior. No bell and whistles on it because it didnt need it. Reliablity, what can I say other than it is a Toyota.

I have not had this long but so far it is very smooth, quiet, powerful, and plenty of room. I find it so hard seeing ratings of the Tundra to other trucks since I test drove the competition.

This truck drives very nice, it is very comfortable, good on gas, and very fun to drive in! I would never buy any other kind of truck exspecially a ford.
